New "demo" seems to have been released today, indicating he'll be back this year I reckon. Good news too, really enjoyed his last album but it has been so long, what with all his American adventures and what have you.

Anyway.

No idea what to think of this, it seems a huge change of direction... but it's only a demo so who knows? Perhaps it's something to throw us all off.

Thoughts?

ABOUT TIME HE RETURNED TOO!

New direction = f***ing ace. He has always been influenced by punk, infact i believe his favourite band is Rancid, I think from that one listen it is his best song yet, i think the new direction is right for him personally aswell, iwas a bit worried for him when he was annouced as support for Rancid at the Astoria last year, but it seems like he fits now, parts sound very Kings Blues too.

I think his fans are gonna hate it, but f*** them, this is better than there NME-bummage music, and anyway after supporting Rancid he may be in with the punks now, giving him a legion of better fans.

I've always thought of his old material as very so-so, some of it is good and some of it is bad. I remember I saw him before he was famous and I just couldn't stand him live

This however astonishingly is quite amazing :o

Really liked his debut and this song sounds great!

Definitely a change of direction but just as good!

I love Jamie T but this is f***in horrid. OK maybe i'm being too harsh, the verses sound promising, but the chrous is awful. It's only a demo though? So hopefully this might change. It sounds so distorted. He may as well not even be singing the lyrics as I can barely make them out at all. I've been a massive fan of his way before he started properly getting exposure, and this is v.disappointing.
the mp3 he released, the album says 'Demo CD5', he must have lots of these new songs he isnt telling us about
He needs a change of direction as the sub-jangly, mockney stuff he was doing in 2006 just isn't popular any more. Let's see if he can be a leader this time and not just a zeitgeist-chaser.
Apparently 'Fire Fire' wont be on the album but Jamie doesnt want people to dismiss it because of that, which is why he made the video.
