I guess it depends on how much you care what people say about you on here. The general feeling at school is pretty much if you're bi, you like boys so you MUST be gay. I think coming out as bi or gay would be as hard as each other. Especially for people whose families are completely against the idea altogether.

I thought my area was bad, I think our town is quite conservative but one person came out as gay at school and I suspected two more in my year. Then today someone who I never expected (he always used to call me gay to be 'funny' :/) walking down the street with longish pink hair, skinny jeans and a tight T-shirt. Now I don't like stereotyping but COME ON. :mellow: I just kinda laughed in disbelief.

I think I know what you mean, you don't really associate gay men with long-term relationships in general. I reckon it's probably easier for a man and a woman to connect emotionally and fall in love than two guys, you wouldn't think so with it being the same gender. Yeah realising that i'd never have kids and stuff hit me all at once and that felt pretty awful. I've made myself accept it now, whereas before i knew i was gay but i :/ed at the thought of me being with another man, especially long term. Ofc i'd expect bad reactions, but i'm a realist yet i still don't think it'll be *that* bad, bullying of any sort is pretty much non existent here imo, it seemed to stop when everyone grew up. I know exactly who i'm going to tell first, practically the only person who i feel close enough to who is mature enough to deal with it and trustworthy enough to keep a secret, for a while :P.
