Posted January 15, 200916 yr STRICTLY star Rachel Stevens is set to skip back on to our screens in fantasy show Merlin. It is thought producers impressed by Rachel’s dancing are in talks to sign her up for the second series of the BBC1 hit. The ex-S Club 7 singer, 30, who came second to Tom Chambers last month, is keen to start an acting career. In 2005 she moved to Hollywood but the big roles didn’t come. A second series of Merlin has been commissioned after it got up to six million viewers each week despite being pitched against the X Factor. An insider said: “The next series of Merlin will be even better than the first.” The series stars ex-EastEnder Michelle Ryan, Little Britain’s Prime Minister Anthony Head, Richard Wilson and newcomer Colin Morgan as wizard Merlin. John Hurt is the voice behind the Great Dragon.
