February 1, 200916 yr Just because only five players have scored more Premiership goals than him this season it doesn't stop him from being the worst in the league.... :manson:
February 1, 200916 yr Pavluychenko has more goals than Berbatov both this season and at the same stage last seasin ^_^ We have missed Keane more than Berbs Keane is going back to Spurs anyway.
February 1, 200916 yr Keane is going back to Spurs anyway. He is apparently signing for £15 million tomorrow. As Liverpool proved today, they don't need him. Rafa was right, Parry was wrong, if we'd signed Gareth Barry in the summer we'd probably be still leading the Premiership.

Rafa was right, Parry was wrong, if we'd signed Gareth Barry in the summer we'd probably be still leading the Premiership. Nope we don't need him. Yesterday was a huge turning point in the whole ownership saga. For a long time i'd heard rumours that Keane was not pleased with the Robbie Keane deal being tied up over Gareth Barry, and yesterday evenings those claims were basically said to be true when I first heard the rumours about Keane. I've not got a clue of the price. I've heard £15m, £15m+Lennon, £12m and £5m+Lennon so who knows. Guillem Balage said Spurs tried to offer us Bentley and Bale but we refused. We don't need Keane. If anything he stops Liverpool from playing their best.
February 1, 200916 yr I don't think Liverpool don't need him, he'd certainly be useful. I just think Rafa's treatment of him has been fairly shocking really. Torres has been quite injury prone this season and is Keane really a worse replacement than Ngog or Kuyt? He looked like his confidence was back and had hit a bit of form. Two goals in three, vital points to keep Liverpool at the top and then Benitez dropped him and he hasn't had a look in since! It's shocking management, shocking! I'd certainly say you don't need Keane when Torres is fit though... Edited February 1, 200916 yr by RabbitFurCoat

He's just got rid of a young, English, pacey winger with an average at best end product, why on earth would he replace him with a young, English pacey winger with an even worse end product?!

Two goals in three, vital points to keep Liverpool at the top and then Benitez dropped him and he hasn't had a look in since! It's shocking management, shocking! But Rafa didn't want Keane, well he did, just not as much as he wanted Barry. This is why there's all this fuss over the contract. Keane just doesn't fit into our system at all. If we play 4-4-2 we have to either drop Mascherano or Alonso, and even then Keane and Torres always seemed to not click. Then he can't play in the 4-2-3-1 as he drops back too much, and even when we play that formation with Torres, we are short of options up top at times. His attitude stinks as well, and he's been playing fucking abysmal at times. I'd rather play with Kuyt, Babel or N'gog up top, and make a some serious dosh so we can invest in a pacy right winger and a creative midfielder.

I'm no major fan of Lennon, but he's a damn site better than Pennant. Maybe Rafa could improve Lennon a lot, as he has a lot of potential, he just needs to work on a lot. Pennant is absolutely awful. No commitment, and he only plays good when he wants to.

February 1, 200916 yr lol............................................. like Barry could stop us we'll win this league by atleast 10 points, atleast... To be fair, the only reason you're top of the league is because we've fucked up so many times against teams we should be winning. Addmitedly all of the other top teams have, but we've done it the most. For the first time today it seemed like Rafa finally got it into his head that against teams that are throwing all their men behind the ball we need to take a risk with our attacking play. Whether this was caused by the Lampard sending off I do not know. All I do know is we dicked Chelsea before Lampard got sent off, then we dicked them even more when he got sent off. The title race is back on now. It's still in Man Utd's hands, but I think it'll be very close.

Mate, we've played about 10 games more than you this season, already to say you've lost it, and we're lucky to be where we are, shows how biast you are Liverpool will not come 2nd, i'll happily bet on that
February 1, 200916 yr Mate, we've played about 10 games more than you this season, already to say you've lost it, and we're lucky to be where we are, shows how biast you are Liverpool will not come 2nd, i'll happily bet on that You're putting words into my mouth that i've never said. Where does the more games come into it? Nowhere. I never said you were lucky to be where you were either. I said if we hadn't f***ed up so many games this season with 0-0 draws and lapses of concentration then we'd still be top of the table.
February 1, 200916 yr But you wouldn't be, would you? it's because you're a poor, poor side and i never said you said you've played more times i'm stating, we've played more times than you, and we're still top so players like Barry really wouldn't make a difference signing average English players really won't help Liverpool stop us going ahead of them in Titles, trust me

Yeah, really poor. And if Barry is so average then why is he ahead of Carrick in the England team?! Lol. Barry is good. Not as good as Alonso, but he's still a very good player who I would not mind in the Liverpool squad.
February 1, 200916 yr So you'd rather have Barry than Carrick? LOL@YOU no wonder you support Liverpool, with your defensive-mentality and mate, it's coming to a point now, where Capello knows he has to decide who plays with Carrick, not who to drop out of Lampard/Gerrard as he is the best passer of a ball England have

But Barry is a better player than Carrick and yes I would much rather have Barry in my team than Carrick, and so would Capello so it seems.
February 3, 200916 yr Well if he does that for the next qualifer then i'll admit defeat. But Barry is a better player than Carrick and yes I would much rather have Barry in my team than Carrick, and so would Capello so it seems. ahahaha what exactly is Barry better at than Carrick? watch his sublime passes this season you'll see why he's a English, European and World Champion
February 3, 200916 yr I may be biased but Carrick has played better than Barry recently! He's been magnificent this season! I would start him against Spain personally. The problem is though that neither are proper holding players which is why when (or if) Owen Hargreaves comes back Capello will pick him over them both! The thing I'm REALLY thinking about as far as England is concerned is should Beckham start, he deserves his place in the squad but I don't know if he's really the type of player we need on the right at the start of the game but Walcott is the only really good wideman and he's injured! Beckham makes us predictable sometimes but his crossing and free kicks are needed at the same time.
