This weekly chart is done under a points system, I've taken the Top 100 Singles and Top 100 Albums and given an artist points for where they appear in each chart - 100 points for No.1 99pts for No.2 down to 1pt. for No.100 Obviously if artists appear more than once then they get points for each time they appear.

Once all the points are added up I'll put them into a table and do a top 40 - in the event of a tie the artist who has a song/album higher in the charts comes first.

01 Kings Of Leon - 375

02 Beyonce - 332

03 Girls Aloud - 323

08 Akon - 292

05 Rihanna - 288

04 Take That - 270

32 Lady Gaga - 269

07 Pink - 265

13 Saturdays - 259

15 Ne-Yo - 248

06 MGMT - 237

12 Script - 235

10 Kanye West - 233

11 Britney Spears - 231

14 Killers - 223

09 Katy Perry - 220

20 Alesha Dixon - 205

18 James Morrison - 197

17 Leona Lewis - 186

19 Snow Patrol - 173

22 N-Dubz - 170

23 Jeff Buckley - 170

16 Duffy - 166

24 Jason Mraz 163

29 Nickelback - 124

36 Lil' Wayne - 123

21 Ting Tings - 115

--- Fleet Foxes - 110

31 Chris Brown - 109

25 Sash - 102

27 Coldplay - 101

40 Vampire Weekend - 100

--- Kid Cudi vs Crookers - 99

33 Nelly Furtado - 98

28 T.I. - 98

37 Kevin Rudolf - 96

26 Pussycat Dolls - 96

34 Alexandra Burke - 95

--- Roger Whittaker - 85

--- Sugababes - 84

So not too much movement other than a bit of a dip for Duffy at #23, plus a decent climb for Vampire Weekend and Lil' Wayne at #32 and #26 respectively, but the big move is Lady Gaga climbing 25 spots to #7 with the release of the album plus Pokerface debuting in te singles chart this week, it was to be expected.

Well done also to Kings of Leon who remain at the top of the chart for the second week.

I didn' get the salute thing either, but i just took it on advice from a veteran member of buzzjack!

Yeah I think what he's saying is it's a tribute to an old chart, which I think was on Radio 1 in the 80s/90s.
