January 20, 200916 yr Tthey've changed the rules. You can't be nominated for the same album twice now or in the best male/female/group category if you've been already been nominated for the eligible album. Edited January 20, 200916 yr by 6weeksatnumber7
January 20, 200916 yr When are Brit Awards? Here is the some promo! http://www.brits.co.uk/uploads/123237083338786/resize_459_258_crop_459_258_center_center.jpg Britney Spears EXCLUSIVE! :w00t: That isn't promo - it's the cover of the BRIT Awards album. The "exclusive" is Womanizer which I assume hasn't been on any other compilation albums.

January 20, 200916 yr Yes but if it was too early for Leona then surely it was too early for Kate aswell  But there's the issue of proving oneself as an artist... people had been hearing the Kate single and album for well over half a year and although they both attended the same school, had worked her way in from an indie label, as well as displaying musicianship from the off. I love Leona but effectively she is still singing what people want her to sing, there is little artistry there and although I think she's worked on vocals, stage presence AND seems to be developing a sort of artistry since (with 'Run' and wanting to go in a rockier direction with the second LP), at the time people had had the album in their hands for a matter of weeks (when the nominations came out at least), so in my opinion it was way too early for someone who was essentially a brand new mere vocalist.
January 20, 200916 yr i seriously think Iron Maiden could win. They are quite popular amongst Radio 2 type of people and could well vote these. but Coldplay or Scouting for Girls. grr. pip them
January 20, 200916 yr Ugh how is Adele on there? With her f***ing irritating voice :puke2: Leona should be on there?

They'd have been better nominating her this year rather than last as she was so close to the cut-off for nominations and voting it was always going to affect her realistic chances of a nod.
January 20, 200916 yr I am really shocked that Leona is nominated for Better In Time and not Run. I hope she wins it, she deserved to win all her awards last year. :(

Absolutely, I think she should be there this year.. at the expense of Beth Rowley who for me is like an Ian Brown or a Beck and always seems to crop up in nominations regardless of sucess or acclaim.
January 20, 200916 yr BEST BRITISH MALE Ian Brown James Morrison The Streets Paul Weller Will Young Ian Brown shouldn't be here. James Morrison should walk this easily. The Streets won't win. Paul Weller should win. Will Young should be here BEST BRITISH FEMALE Adele Duffy Estelle MIA Beth Rowley Adele will walk this. Duffy will get snubbed. Estelle won't win. It would be hillarious if MIA won. Beth Rowley don't stand a chance BEST BRITISH BAND Coldplay Elbow Girls Aloud Radiohead Take That Coldplay will more than definatly win this. Elbow should win it. January 20, 200916 yr BEST BRITISH BAND Coldplay will more than definatly win this. Elbow should win it. Girls Aloud won't win. Radiohead won't either and Take That could win it but that's more likely next year Never in a million years will Take That win an award that relies on the Brits Panel. Its weird but its only us Take That fans who seem to realise this. The nomination is fine for us! As long as the album is rewarded with sales after they perform ... a nomination is just fine. Norma

January 20, 200916 yr I thought take that had won brits before? They've only ever won categories that were voted for by the public. They've never won an award voted for by the Brits Panel ... or the 'critics'. Norma
