January 24, 200916 yr I could. You have to go through with a fine tooth comb to see. It is something minor (in some ways - major in others!) but none the less....
January 24, 200916 yr The covering email I received with my revised issue stated: The NES section is all that has changed. Positions 124 (page 18) and 182 (page 20) in NES have much more info than on the first version. Full credit to them for their honesty. It's excellent to have ChartsPlus back, I think they deserve to succeed this time! :)

As for what had changed - thanks for that, but definitely not worth reprinting for. I'd only do that if it had affected the singles/albums or airplay charts. It does provide some anticipation each day though - wondering if/when the catch-up issues are going to arrive. :) Edited January 24, 200916 yr by vidcapper

True - but we'd like to be right. After all, with no Chart Books (okay, there's Virgin.... as I said - no chart books :D) we are, basically, the only place showcasing artist histories. If we're not 100% accurate each week - as far as we humanly can be.... :D
January 25, 200916 yr I finally understood what this topic was about  I receive the new issues, not the back issues, that I'll prefer when ready, and for my new subscription... But if an issues is revised, does this mean the back issues when Airplay was missing contain the airplay? :teresa: Dunnot get me wrong, I got the airplay (outside the official issue), but wos not inside the issue... Now if persons can buy those old issues, they're revised, containing the airplay inside? :w00t: xox.

On a completely separate point - how relevant are the Scottish & Welsh singles positions now, based as they are only on the, now niche, physical sales market? I'm guessing that the lower positions are based literally on a handful a copies sold? Just a suggestion - what about a single column showing the physical ranking for the UK as a whole, at least for singles? I dare say one or two other subscribers here might be interested in that, if the data the OCC provides splits that way, and they were willing to entertain the notion. Obviously, since the physical albums market is still healthy, no change would be needed to the provincial listings there.

It has been suggested that NES for albums is included, but initially we are trying to simply keep gong as Herman set it up and make sure we can do that right before extending or altering anything. The Scottish Singles and albums and the welsh albums charts are actually rather vibrant a present with lots of songs charting on both which is nice to see. However, the Welsh Singles skips between a Top 20 and Top 30 for some reason. If we did show the Physical Only chart - we don't get this at present - I would suggest that you'd see very few songs on that list similar to the main chart - 96% of the market is downloads afterall. At present we are simply carrying on as was but we all (that is, the team) have ideas about improving or adding to CP once we have got things working right.

Oh absolutely - I wasn't suggesting anything immediate. If we did show the Physical Only chart - we don't get this at present - I would suggest that you'd see very few songs on that list similar to the main chartThat's the point, really. :) At present we are simply carrying on as was but we all (that is, the team) have ideas about improving or adding to CP once we have got things working right. I have a feeling I know of one possible improvement...
January 25, 200916 yr ****! It's taken me 4 weeks and I've only just spotted the Scottish & Welsh chart positions
January 25, 200916 yr lol, i wondered from the abbreviations (SCO/WLS i think) if thats what that column was because it doesn't actually say on the newsletter (which would be helpful if you're reading this C+ admin). So its just physicals then? Will online purchases of physicals (e.g. mail order/websites) not count either then even when you stay in Scotland for e.g. (as it may not ship from there)? If so its basically the HMV singles chart now

Carry on as before and finish the "catch-up" issues. Then it will be time to think about what you might want to change.
January 26, 200916 yr Excellent - I have passed on comments above to Chris, although he does read emails - and reply - so comments are also welcome via email :D And thanks for the praise! Edited January 26, 200916 yr by kingofskiffle

January 26, 200916 yr Author What I meant was that it would be similar to the Welsh Chart positions in that few would actually be shown.... Are you sure? A majority of the T75 still have physical releases, and therefore would surely have a rank in physical sales, however small a component physical sales were of their overall totals?
