No idea as of yet... After they have finished showing the remaining episodes, they will go for a small break while FOX decide whether they want more episode for this 09/10 or 10/11 or none at all :(

And the "Fuxx" network destroys yet ANOTHER series with an interesting concept and more than ONE idea in its head..... I really, really HATE Fox TV.... They really are just a set of complete b'astards... God only knows why Joss Whedon even had anything to do with them after what happened to Firefly, he really should have taken the show to somewhere like HBO or Showtime, because the show as it stands is kind of flawed because he clearly wasn't allowed to put the sort of more "Adult" content into it that he probably wanted to.... If he'd gone to the cable networks, he could've had all the sex, nudity, violence and profanity he wanted.....

I like Dollhouse, the concept is fantastic, but Fox was clearly NOT the network to produce this, because they really are such utter tossers who seem to completely stamp out any kind of individuality or more mature content, this series has clearly suffered from a LOT of network interference, Whedon probably thought that because J J Abrams seems to be doing what he pretty much wants with Lost and Fringe, that perhaps he would be granted the same sort of autonomy....

"Dollhouse" is closing its doors at Fox.

The network has canceled Joss Whedon's cult fave, which in May beat the odds with a second-season pickup despite low ratings.

The sci-fi series, which is filming episode 11, is expected to finish its 13-episode order, and Whedon is expected to give the show a proper ending.

After some dismal performance this fall, despite the ratings bumps "Dollhouse" got from DVR viewing, Fox benched the show for the November sweep after four episodes.

For now, Fox is expected to air the remaining episodes starting Dec. 4 as planned.

"Dollhouse" stars Eliza Dushku as a DNA-altered woman who gets implanted false memories for various missions and tasks.

Fox already has picked up breakout freshman dramedy "Glee" for a full season. Freshman comedy "Brothers" is still awaiting its fate, but its chances don't look good.

Freshman comedy "Brothers" is still awaiting its fate but its chances don't look good, while sophomore drama "Lie to Me" is waiting for an episodic order after receiving an order for three additional scripts last month.

<_< Bloody great  I was REALLY starting to get into it :(

That is pretty disgraceful - everything Scott has said is true, and re-reading this topic, we all knew it was doomed from the start.

Totally bought Season 1 on DVD and watched in a day flat, so can't wait to settle and watch Season 2!

Digitalspy says however that the future of Season 3 is yet to be made

Fox will not order any additional episodes of Dollhouse's second season, it has been announced.

According to The Futon Critic, the network has passed on commissioning further instalments of Joss Whedon's sci-fi series, but is yet to make a decision on the future of the programme.

Fox scheduling head Preston Beckman recently confirmed that it planned on airing the full second season, despite its less-than-impressive ratings.

"We're going to run all the episodes," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "We're not saying we're happy with those numbers, or accept them, but we don't have to overreact... We plan on completing the order for this show."

After a November hiatus, Dollhouse returns to Fox in December with back-to-back episodes. Season two currently airs Tuesdays at 10pm on Sci Fi in the UK.

The show's fate is expected to be decided sometime next year.

Episode Schedule:

Dec. 4 - 8:00PM-10:00PM (Episodes 5 & 6)

Dec. 11 - 8:00PM-10:00PM (Episodes 7 & 8)

Dec. 18 - 8:00PM-10:00PM (Episodes 9 & 10)

Jan. 8 - 9:00PM-10:00PM (Episode 11)

Jan. 15 - 9:00PM-10:00PM (Episode 12)

Jan. 22 - 9:00PM-10:00PM (Episode 13)

According to Ausiello, there will be no more than the 13 episodes. It's gone mid-season.

Joss Whedon's reaction to the cancellation:

"Dollhouse" creator Joss Whedon on Wednesday shared his disappointment at Fox's decision to cancel the sci-fi thriller.

"I don't have a lot to say," Whedon wrote in a post on Whedonesque.com. "I'm extremely proud of the people I've worked with: my star (Eliza Dushku), my staff, my cast, my crew. I feel the show is getting better pretty much every week, and I think you'll agree in the coming months. I'm grateful that we got to put it on, and then come back and put it on again."

Whedon also addressed his plans. "I'm off to pursue internet ventures/binge drinking," he wrote. "Possibly that relaxation thing I've read so much about. By the time the last episode airs, you'll know what my next project is. But for now there's a lot of work still to be done, and disappointment to bear."

"Thank you all for your support, your patience, your excellent adverts. See you again," Whedon said in closing.

Digitalspy says however that the future of Season 3 is yet to be made

Dec. 18 - 8:00PM-10:00PM (Episodes 9 & 10)

Jan. 8 - 9:00PM-10:00PM (Episode 11)

Jan. 15 - 9:00PM-10:00PM (Episode 12)

oh thank god ..... i'd thought it had finished for the year!! but have to watch/tape it after stargate universe on scifi+1. at least it's clear after that

really enjoyed dollhouse, as it had a different premise and way of going about things, something like whedon does rather well ..... oh well it's fox's stupid desision then ..... maybe that SERENITY sequel could be done now ^_^

That schedule is for the US TV lol

A Bones repeat aired this week instead of Dollhouse in Dollhouse's time slot and pulled in over 4million viewers.

While it's a shame that a TV show has to go, if it doesn't have the ratings, there is no financial sense in airing it. Especially if a rerun of a more successful show pulls in more viewers in that slot.

More viewers = more money

I had been planning on downloading Dollhouse once i'd worked my way through all of CSI Las Vegas and NCIS Season 6, shame that once i've got round to getting Dollhouse, i'll have it all :(

New episodes are in! Seriously amazing stuff from the Whedon. Such a shame that this is getting the axe. Poor Eliza Dushku really deserves better.

Also, when i saw Summer Glau come up on screen i couldnt help but burst out in laughter haha! I knew she was coming on the show but LOL. Same character as anything else she has been in but in Dollhouse you actually see another side to anything else shes played. SHE CAN ACT WITH HUMAN EMOTION :o ! I have nothing against Glau but please play roles in which you dont act like an empty vessel.

Im liking this season WAY more than the first.

Stupid FOX.

Has anyone been keeping up? The episodes are getting better and better IMO. It was nice to learn what The Attic is and what happens to people there but i was a bit confused at the end of Episode 10.. But anyway did anyone notice the slap in the face that they made to FOX  Clyde asks Echo what year is it and Echo replies, 2010? I dont know how long we've been off air. I laughed so hard

But yes im looking forward to the finale. It looks set to be huge!
