Posted January 24, 200916 yr Ok so almost EVERY Britney fan hates Jordan, who runs breatheheavy...anyways READ, it's long but so worth it. Jordan/Breatheheavy post With all the buzz over Britney's new single "If U See(k) Amy," I began to wonder why it's been making headlines. The Max Martin ("Baby One More Time") produced track oozes naughty innuendos and obvious sexual undertones: Seems to me all the fuss is not because of originality, rather because Britney spells out "f*** me." Have we mistaken Britney, a 27 year old mother-of-two, for a sex-craved clubber looking for her next bi-sexual threesome? Is this where her management wants to take her carefully calculated and micro-managed career? Sure, we can all sing along to "Amy" and pretend like Britney's personal life is dandy - seems to work for a lot of you - but should they mirror this false sense of assurance in her work? Why not portray an accurate reflection of Britney's life in her career instead of hiding the truth with fancy pyrotechnics, jumbled choreography and fluff updates from her official site. Her career, in my opinion, is beginning to lose the artistic expression, and is instead focusing on accomplishing #1s and profits. The Bloodshy & Avant produced track, "Unusual You," a track about falling in love yet expecting to be heartbroken, only to find out that's not the case, is a reoccurring theme in Britney's personal life. Sadly, efforts in making "UU" the third single failed (though I am hearing from reliable sources that this track IS being heavily considered for the 4th single per fans' request). So is it too soon to consider a possible single #5? Never. Much like "Unusual You," The Underdogs produced-track, "Mannequin," eerily and accurately illustrates an emotionless, un-phased Britney that lets no feeling, good or bad, get the best of her - a Britney that is unimpressed with control, fancy clothes & makeup, or rules - far from the Britney we see who is currently hidden under a guise of authority and restriction. Britney was filmed last summer rehearsing to the track; a rehearsal that shows a clear difference between her European and Good Morning America performances. "Mannequin," albeit overly-produced and manipulated, is one of the only tracks off Circus that is personal yet relatable aside from "Unusual You" and the Danja produced track "Blur." "Womanizer" was to get the (don't call it a comeback) comeback started, while "Circus" was the obvious, boring second single. And "If U Seek Amy?" A predictably controversial club-banger with no real substance besides what's left in bed after all of the boys and all of the girls seeked Amy. We might see a new Britney professionally; one that's vulnerable and human. Not the overly-managed, caged-cash-cow she's once again been forcibly subjected to become. It's time to get a little darker. It's time for some depth. It's time for some creativity. ______________________________________________________________________________ Kyle's response Losing artistic expression? Have you seen the "Circus" video? And you take no time to dismiss "If U Seek Amy", not even waiting on a music video to judge. A video that will be controversial, will be artistic, and will contain current social commentary on Britney's life and present situation. A treatment that, like "Womanizer" and "Circus", was created by Britney. You assume that just because "Unusual You" is not being released as the third single than it MUST mean Britney is NOT in control. How do you figure this? Do you speak for Britney? I mean clearly if you think it is fact, than it must be. Britney picked "If U Seek Amy" as the third single. Yes, Britney. Believe it or not, but the label and her management were in unison with "Out From Under ". However, Britney's plan was different, and thus, "If U Seek Amy" filled "Out From Under's" place. You constantly quote Britney from For The Record, and assume that it MUST be about the conservatorship. Even the press and tabloids have not gone this far. Were you watching the same program as everyone else?: "You can't really go there in a complete state of happiness because you're scared that it's going to be taken away. It's better just not to feel anything at all and to have hope then feel the other way." - This quote was clearly about how difficult it is to date due to her level of fame. You assume that if Britney is sad, than is has to be because of her father, Jamie, and the conservatorship. Wake up. Britney is alive today because of her father. The conservatorship is still in place so that Britney has a significant chance to get custody of her children once again. This is also the reason why she is working. Showing the court that she is capable of working will only help her plead her case to the judge. If she wanted to argue the fact that she wanted the conservatorship to end, then she could. A tour sponsor would not back her unless they had a clear understanding that there is not a massive liability attached to her name. Enter an extended conservatorship. Britney wants to go on tour and she also wants her children. Her visitation rights are pretty much equal to that of half custody. Once the tour is over, she will plead her case to be lifted from the conservatorship, and get half custody of her children once again. Time can only HELP this situation. The longer she is monitored by the court, the greater chance she has to get custody rights back in her name. This is fact, not hypothetical. I will agree that the "Britney train" is carefully executed this time around - but Britney has a say in the decision making process. She can not do as many appearances or interviews as she used to (for obvious reasons - does not mean that with the next album she will not do more). The main focus of Circus was to get the public back on Britney's side. To show people the real reason why they fell in love with her in the first place - with her music, videos, and performances. And guess what, it worked. Albums with more artistic depth (although I think that Circus has many artistic songs - Unusual You, Blur, Mmm Papi, Kill The Lights, and Womanizer to name a few) will come in the future. How horrible of a fan for you to assume otherwise. Every song with artistic depth does NOT have to be released to radio. Fans appreciate songs that show Britney's humanity. It does not mean that the general public will as well. However, she will soon artistically address the public's perception and fascination with her. And Mannequin as single #3? That would tank faster than a 40-ton brick falling into the ocean. It is an extremely creative and original song - but it is not radio friendly in the slightest. The lyrics may represent Britney, but no one on radio would understand them. This is a song for the fans, not for the public. This website HAS become worldofbritney.com part two. A site where the webmaster is so out of tune with reality and so obsessed with the artist. This has caused him to preach his "perfect" and extremely biased vision instead of focusing on the positive - which is what a fan site should do. "It's time to get a little darker. It's time for some depth. It's time for some creativity." Actually, it is time for me to leave. I bid adieu to everyone here. And I beg of you to formulate your own thoughts before believing in someone else's. -kyle Kyle <333 PS - Kyle has been right about everything thus far. He was the first to tell fans about For The Record, when Womanizer video was coming out, Circus video, and alot more.
January 25, 200916 yr I was thinking of posting a topic earlier cause his site pisses me off SOOO much! He doesn't even seem to know what the hell he's talking about anymore. His site may have gotten big but his head has gotten WAY bigger. He has become so biased with his site! I see him criticise the official sites for their blogging ways and I see that his site and the official sites have a lot in common in that way. UGH. [/rant] Anywho, Kyle's response is spot on and I'm sure any actual fan would have to agree for the most part. Hopefully Jordan's fat head can take that all in if at all possible.
January 25, 200916 yr WOAH! Interesting Read! :o I agreed with everything I was reading from Kyle. I was actually nodding along and saying "Yeahhh, so true" etc...  I have never visited breatheheavy so I don't know what it's like. But from what I read here, I don't think I ever wanna visit that site TBH! I hope Jordan hangs his head in shame and embarrassment, coz he just got TOLD!

This is all so true - it's what I want to explain to everyone says she should 'go home and be with her kids'. SHE CAN'T! At least not properly, unless she proves herself to be able to live a 'normal' life. The only this Jordan is good for is looking at tbf  I can't believe anyone would take his side in this, especially with Kyle's excellent response.
January 25, 200916 yr Author Jordan has been "told" so many times it's ridiculous. He's more stubborn then a pile of bricks, and let him be. Couldn't care less about his closeted ass.
January 25, 200916 yr I know it's slightly off topic, but I'd be happy with either Mannequin or Unusual You next :P
January 25, 200916 yr great read :o I personally can't stand Jordan :puke: and this : This website HAS become worldofbritney.com part two. A site where the webmaster is so out of tune with reality and so obsessed with the artist. This has caused him to preach his "perfect" and extremely biased vision instead of focusing on the positive - which is what a fan site should do. SOOOO TRUE!!!!! you go Kyle :cheer:
January 25, 200916 yr Jordan is the webmaster of BreatheHeavy.com :puke: and Kyle is a reliable source who posts on that site's forum... and I think others too.
January 25, 200916 yr According to BH.com, a source has exclusively revealed the set list. Take it with a grain of salt. ;) "We're really going after the whole Amy thing," says the source. "It's centered in a club and the stage will have a lot of props dividing it between a bar and a dance floor during this part... It will be a concept of two 'Britneys' - Amy and Britney's night out. They're doing crazy stuff with lighting, and they needed a lot of room for dancers so it will be very high energy. There's also a scene that's meant to resemble Britney's chamber, that follows the club sequence with Blur and lighter notes." ACT 1: Superwoman Break The Ice video Womanizer Stronger Shattered Glass Radar ACT 2: Paparazzi Mona Lisa video Lucky (soul) Medley: My Prerogative / Oops!... I Did It Again Kill The Lights Piece of Me ACT 3: Amy / club If U Seek Amy video Do Somethin' / Freakshow medley Get Naked Me Against The Music video (possible Madonna appearance) Slave 4 U / Mannequin medley If U Seek Amy (2 versions) ACT 4: Afterparty Blur video Unusual You Mmm Papi ACT 5: Classical My Baby, piano Sometimes, choir? January 26, 200916 yr :o I know "Take with a grain of salt" but I am actually gutted and hoping she adds Everytime to that Set-List!
January 26, 200916 yr Yeah I noticed that was missing too. I guess I can see her not performing it on the tour but still it was a big hit!
January 26, 200916 yr I really wouldn't be surprised!! I wouldn't even doubt they might not have a set list finalized even. I just love how an "inside source" seems to reveal anything and everything exclusively to BreatheHeavy.com. RIGHT. Edited January 26, 200916 yr by Unusual Me
January 26, 200916 yr I imagine they WILL have a complete setlist by now, to complete staging, lighting & choreography etc ... they'd have to know even a vague order to work out the staging in terms of transitions etc by now I'd think...
January 26, 200916 yr I imagine they WILL have a complete setlist by now, to complete staging, lighting & choreography etc ... they'd have to know even a vague order to work out the staging in terms of transitions etc by now I'd think... Not really...
January 26, 200916 yr I imagine they WILL have a complete setlist by now, to complete staging, lighting & choreography etc ... they'd have to know even a vague order to work out the staging in terms of transitions etc by now I'd think... Well, you could be right... there's only a month until the start of the tour! I keep forgetting that it's going to be starting soon. If they don't have a finalized set list yet, I'm sure they're getting there. They probably have the songs picked out for the tour and I'm sure they're at least close to getting something together. I don't think the set list would leak this early though and I HIGHLY doubt an insider would just leak it to Jordan like that. He's probably full of $h!t on this one.
