Some of us are Eurovision clueless.. Or maybe just I am ~.~

xxcuzme while i contradict what i just said :/ i like only remembered now one of my fav songs ever was entered into eurovision[/monrose] eurovision TFTW :o

Right, I've gone for UK #10. I think they're mildly cheap entries but I have such a predictable entry for me to send to this. I also went for live performances. I know I won with one but no one one has (successfully) sent one since then so I think it'd be a good choice. The last one I went for is retro as I think that's a good theme. Maybe pre-2000 is a bit too modern but I certainly think there's an unwritten rule that recent songs should be sent to the BJSC.

I also wouldn't object to the specific word one, provided it's fairly specific (e.g. not 'love'). I think Eurovision and foreign would be alright too but I'd feel severely limited with both. I only know the 2008 Eurovision songs well and I don't think I like many foreign songs unless I've heard an English equivalent.

Sorry i voted for 4 by accident. Live performances (i have a brilliant entry for this), Male entries, Cheap entries & Foreign languages.

#10's would be awful though. A far better idea would be songs that missed the top 75 or songs that failed to chart at all.

Can't the Host's pick the theme's?? After all they're the ones that have to host it...

The winner of this spin-off I guess hosts the next spin-off... so they should pick the theme IMO!

I'm not bitter at the results so far HONEST! :heehee:

We just make sure Katherine doesn't win and have the Metal songs theme :heehee:

I think that would hardly be a spin-off then, probably 3/4 of BJSC entries haven't charted or made the top 75. Giving you unlimited choice, thus making the spin off a typical BJSC. . Where #10's would be so much more exciting, you actually have to search for an entry etc (although i already know what mine would be)

well I would prefer if it was #11's rather then #10's...theres a lot of good songs who just missed out charting at top 10.

you know you could enter that into regular BJSC as it was a German national final song and those haven't been banned :D

that does sound better actually, although it was never brought up in the original spin-off survey thread, hence me not including it in the shortlist

Naturally. Though I could see me fighting with Aled for that unless he goes for "The Loving Kind".

I've never heard of that Debelah Morgan song, or even who she is.

If we ever go for #11s I'm so reserving the artist in my signature. I was thinking of sending it at some point to the main contest once we've had a bit of a time off period from Brandy despite it being a bit cheap.

Good delta, does that mean I can't enter Monrose if its a eurovision spin off?

A metal spin off could get Christopher to join bjsc you know. .although i'd still kick ass at it even with him and his Nine Inch Nails

 oh god, The Loving Kind would be cheap even in a #10's contest

this is the Debelah Morgan song, hit #10 in 2001!

no, as you would only be able to use the ESC semi-finalists and finalists
