February 8, 200916 yr It's crap, they are not good when they go out of their comfort zone and the fans and record buying public don't embrace it when they try to be Beatles-lite. They are really only good at soaring ballads, thanks to Morrisons "Shine" is also $h!te too.
February 8, 200916 yr Good God that i am not between that record buying people, because exactly Shine make me a TakeThat fan and i consider "Up all night" one of their best song :cheer: . (If you had put insted "record" "single" it would have been 100% corect with me - the UAN will be the second single i will buy in my life and the first as a physical version. I generally buy only full albums :D ).
February 8, 200916 yr Love it  I always tend to love their songs with Mark on lead plus it's so much better than Greatest Day
February 8, 200916 yr Their worst single ever. The beginning of this song reminds me of Beatles' final phase.
February 8, 200916 yr Their worst single ever. The beginning of this song reminds me of Beatles' final phase. Its the best thing they've done in ages. I much prefer this to Rule The World (and I like it almost as much as I like Patience .... just not quite). I've lowered my sights for it though as I think the Comic Relief single(s) are out the same week. Still think it'll easily do top 3. By the way ... if the intro sounds like anything ... it is much more reminiscent of Simon & Garfunkel's Cecilia than anything of the Beatles. Norma Edited February 8, 200916 yr by Norma_Snockers
February 8, 200916 yr I can't see how this is worse than 'Greatest Day' somehow, I'd say it's a major improvement on that.
February 8, 200916 yr I can't see how this is worse than 'Greatest Day' somehow, I'd say it's a major improvement on that. Well 'Do What You Like' was better than Greatest Day! I still don't like the Up All Night video though ... I know what the film-makers were aiming for but I don't think its been executed well at all. Norma
February 9, 200916 yr i hope this goes number 1 as its brilliant but its up against comic releif so it coudl end up number 2
February 9, 200916 yr Dreadful song, even worse than Greatest Day. This album seems to be based on hype alone even though the musical content isn't a patch on the last album.
February 9, 200916 yr Dreadful song, even worse than Greatest Day. This album seems to be based on hype alone even though the musical content isn't a patch on the last album. I have to agree with that. I dont get this song atall, its so naff.
February 9, 200916 yr Top5 because it's Take That. Released the same week as loads of other big tunes, including Kelly Clarkson and The Saturdays comic relief single.
February 9, 200916 yr Not keen on the video but I like the song. Seems a blatant attempt to recreate 'Shine' as it is similar sounding and Mark is on lead vocals. It's not amazing but I prefer it to 'Greatest Day'. :) I'm the opposite love the fun video but really don't like the song. For me it's a poor version of Shine. I love Mark's personailty but he should stick to harmonising & leave the lead vocals to Gary.
February 10, 200916 yr I think its a good song I wish Gary had sung it though. Deserves top 3 hope it makes it. Very 60s sounding
February 10, 200916 yr Dreadful song, even worse than Greatest Day. This album seems to be based on hype alone even though the musical content isn't a patch on the last album. TC is better than Beautiful World. Norma
February 10, 200916 yr Dreadful song, even worse than Greatest Day. This album seems to be based on hype alone even though the musical content isn't a patch on the last album. I bought the album and wished I hadnt bothered. Not one great song on there.
February 10, 200916 yr TC is better than Beautiful World. Norma Hmm i duno, i think sometimes newer albums seem better because they are fresher. I still prefer beautiful world over this any day.
February 10, 200916 yr Hmm i duno, i think sometimes newer albums seem better because they are fresher. I still prefer beautiful world over this any day. Beautiful World contains the best song they've done since they came back ... Patience - but I think it was a bit 'safe'. The Circus is a bit more quirky which I like (having said that - it does have a couple of tracks that are absolutely dreadful and two others that are very ... meh!) But it does have six songs that I really do like a lot. I think that Gremley was a bit daft to buy an album when he hadn't heard any of the songs. There must have been something on it that he'd heard that he liked a bit ... or he just likes giving his money to Polydor! Even I listened to a few tracks before I bought it! Oddly enough ... the one song that made me buy it was the hidden track which is the best on the album. Norma
