The La Roux video isn't very good I agree, certainly not good enough for the song and it left me disappointed.

Yes I shouldn't have attacked an artist that has nothing to do with this, that you like. So I am really sorry about that. But I just meant that, it was a video which I knew (Well 'thought' seeing as you commented it with "Brilliant :wub:" after posting the video - but maybe that's because you were just hyped there was a new video...) you really liked, when it really wasn't any good. So I just used that to defend The Sat's (& Kelly's) video's, which you seemed to think was "God Awful".

 

But like I said above I apologise and I really shouldn't have bought one of your favourite artists of the moment into this. And yes I should have just kept my mouth shut, and possibly thought things through, if I was to reply. I'm tired, aggitated etc... So yeah... movin' on...

The debate in here reminded me actually - Please Don't Leave Me is the best video of the year by far. Silly me!

The Pink video is indeed the best video of the year so far (that i've seen anyway)

Oh yes, The Saturdays is the second best!

I was thinking I wouldn't like this too much since the majority on here seem to feel this way about the song right now. Plus, I haven't cared too much for The Saturdays' stuff since it doesn't sound like anything special to me. 'Up' isn't that bad though.

 

I have to admit. I really quite like this one. It's probably the best song I've heard from them so far imo. Don't know if that says very much though! :lol:

And I'm not just saying this to be all anti-mainstream and other nonsense as I know a bunch of people like to accuse me of. :/ My favorite video of 2008 was Pink's Sober which I thought was absolutely gorgeous. And, actually, her video for Please Don't Leave Me is one of my favorite's of this year.

By the way, I think Since U Been Gone is one of the best pop singles of this century...it's not like I have a particular vendetta against Kelly. :| And while I disliked My December, I appreciated the idea of it all. Weird to see where she is now lulz.

every track should be judged on its merit and not because it has been done by someone you like. political tastes are a nonsense and 'fans' are often blinded by their own narrow minds and blind faith. if ANYONE tries to preach that any one artist is 'god' and never puts a foot wrong then their judgement must be brought into question!

What's wrong with really liking an artist? Regardless of their creativity or input.

Care to actually read? I didn't state any different. What I SAID was that I can't imagine not being a huge follower's of at least a few artists' careers. If you just dipped into a few songs by a hundred artists but were proper followers of none, it'd be pretty dull. That isn't the same as saying you can't appreciate a good song regardless of who it is by? I don't have a clue where you plucked that from.

Hardly! It sold far more than Walk This Way's first week. It just so happened to be released at the same time as a global #1 smash with massive hype.

It was just conincidental IMO that it was relesead in the same week as Flo Rida, which was a great shame really.

 

Anyway, now hopefully it will stick around longer than what GA/Sugas did

maybe, but statistics dont play with record sales, they concentrate on chart position, and a #1 with half the sales would still go down in music history as the saturdays first (only....lol) #1.

 

for the record, i HATE flo rida (oh how slow of me, ive just noticed its 'florida') even more then my dislike of the saturdays track.
