Posted February 2, 200916 yr Chris Martin has revealed that he has been banned from the recording studio while Coldplay start work on their fifth album. Speaking in an interview with Absolute Radio, the singer confirmed that his bandmates are making better progress without him after taking advice from producer Brian Eno, who worked on their last disc Viva La Vida. "He said that he thought the last album was OK but it could have been much better," Martin explained. "He said that he still wanted to work with us on the next album but that I was banned from the studio! "He said that it would be better without me for the first two weeks - 'you can do better without the singer,' he said. It has turned out to be a good idea though because the band's been free to try out loads of weird things without me getting in the way." Asked how he has occupied himself following the decision, Martin replied: "I've been working [on]lots of other people's music - I've been really busy."
February 2, 200916 yr Author Harsh and stupid! why? I think it is a good idea, Chris has all control ove Coldplay music, this way it gives the other member's a chance to do something. Eno is obviously trying to break musical boundries for the whole of Coldplay and then Chris will come back and add to this music and it may turn out with another really good record.
