Posted February 3, 200916 yr Pussycat Dolls star Melody Thornton wants to befriend UK singer and X Factor judge Cheryl Cole, as she is a fan of the Girls Aloud member. Thornton tells UK newspaper the Daily Star: "Oh I love Cheryl. I hear she's looking into breaking the States and I'd definitely show her around if she wanted." "I don't like nightclubs and so if Cheryl was happy to stay in and have a girls' night, watching films, then my friend Randy and I have a hoot doing that." Melody also revealed she has a soft spot for another UK singer - Leona Lewis - as she continues: "Victoria Beckham is huge in America - she's taken on an iconic status - but I think Leona is the most beautiful. She fills a void for a Mariah Carey fan like me." Also Paris Hilton thinks: Paris Hilton says Cheryl Cole could break America and become as big a star there as she is in the UK. The Girls Aloud singer is rumoured to be in talks to appear on US television, with the help of pop mogul Simon Cowell. The X Factor chief is reportedly aiding Cheryl get a working visa, which is facing difficulty due to an assault charge in 2003. Now Paris has given her approval of Cole, writing in Heat magazine: "I haven't seen much of Cheryl, but I've heard how much you guys love her. She's stunning and I bet they'll love her in the States." Hilton also revealed she has a soft spot for Cowell, as she continues: "Simon Cowell is a wise businessman to bring her over - I love him, he's very funny, charming and cool.
