Chansong XI Pala Numayanie

Welcome to the National Final for Numayania's entry in XXIV, our XI'th in all. We in Numayania are very proud of our Roman numerals. The romans invaded Numayania (the name is actually Latin for land of linden trees) in the first century ABJ and haven't actually left yet... After a return to the top 10 with Hurts, we want to find the song that can take us back to the top 10, or maybe even give us our second winner! How are we going to do this? By going back to our roots of course! We have four entries to choose from this time, so please check them out, and give me your votes :cheer: Sanque-tes!

Song 1: Dandy Andy Feat. Carmen Castro - My Lonely Valentine

Song 2: The Sounds - Beatbox

Song 3: Sukkerchok - Kæmper For Kærlighed

Song 4: Alice Svensson - I Wanna Live

Vota-tes fiouplise :w00t:

Sukkerchock!

10 points (almost) guaranteed! Well 12 are already with Pin Me Down whoever sends it :kink:

edit_ heard that Alice song, not special at all.

Song 1: Dandy Andy Feat. Carmen Castro - My Lonely Valentine - very good, I like this a lot. 9/10

Song 2: The Sounds - Beatbox - Excellent, best I've heard from them since Painted By Numbers. 9/10

Song 3: Sukkerchok - Kæmper For Kærlighed - I love it, it's so manic and frantic  9/10

Song 4: Alice Svensson - I Wanna Live - this is brilliant too, love the piano in it 9/10

I guess that doesn't help an awful lot but you can expect Rontvian points with any of them unless a disaster happens! I'd probably not go with Sukkerchok though, just because I think the other three would do better than a foreign language Eurovision reject :P

Thanks guys  I agree Sukkerchok is a risk, but it (kind of) worked for me before, and I think this is maybe the best song of the lot...

I'd actually call it the least risky of the four  even though it's foreign, Dandy Andy is dance, The Sounds are indie-ish and the other girl is a complete unknown with no existing fans on the forum (I would assume). Sukkerchok are extremely BJ friendly - the song is like a pumped up Agnes track plus you've already got guaranteed points for it from the Eurovision loons I would expect - the other three are unknown quantities! As for my predictions for success - I think all 4 are finalists.

Dandy Andy - 7th-10th

The Sounds - 9th-15th

Sukkerchok - 5th-10th

Alice Svensson - 12th-17th

Pavel's and Peter's songs (and no doubt other ESC rejects yet to be confirmed) could take away 'Eurovision points' from it though :heehee:

Thanks, that's a lot to think about. The language is the major risk in Sukkerchok, if it was in English I think it would be a possible winner :snif:
well I would predict it as a winner despite the language barrier but last time I did this, Serebro's Opium trailed in 9th in VI after being the overwhelming favourite throughout :/
I'd SO have sent Sukkerchock had i reserved them straight away

Would you send them if I unreserved them? I'm not sure if a change is possible now though... And for the record I might not do that :kink:
Yep, if i had a chance to change and you unreserved them I'd totally send them.

Well, it appears you can't... unless you wanted to protest?
I can always blackmail Aaron. Not sure with what though. :(

Hmmm, let me think :???: :kink:

I'm REALLY wanting to do it now tbh. (Change my entry :kink: )

You were offline when i confirmed it last evening, i thought of asking about it... :(

I'm going to try and beg Aaron. :heehee:

Feel free, although tbh I can't confirm that I will let them go :kink:

Thanks Zechhh :)

Then again, I think that since Pavel can't change, I might as well send Sukkerchok now, or.... :kink:

Alice Svensson has been removed from the contest for plagarism of the 1999 Numayanian hit Me Woune Livre (Da Ba Dit) by Touer 69. She has been replaced with current Numayanian top 5 star Erik Hassle with, obviously, Isn't It Obvious?

Thoughts? :kink:

Have you seen my thread? :kink: I was choosing between this exact song and Danny ... would probably get plenty of points from me.
