Mate, sympathy and respect is one thing, but now we're talking about some hideous "Reality TV death show", I mean, COME ON..... We're crossing the line totally here to even suggest this... This is utterly unethical, totally amoral and completely exploitative.....

Yeah, the comments after from Jade did rather shoot my argument down :(

I'd like to point out that all Jade actually said was that she'll be filming her Living TV show knowing she doesn't have long to go because she still wants to earn money for her kids. She isn't quoted as saying "I may allow cameras to film my death" - that's quite clearly just Digital Spy trying to scandalise the situation... and shame on you all for buying into it!

Before I was very much on the side of "SHE SHOULD BE WITH HER FAMILY, MONEY GRABBING BINT" but now I think it's a good thing what she's doing. I don't know ANY mid 20-year olds who check themselves for lumps or go to the doctors to get checked. If anything good can come out of this story it'll be other young people who get themselves checked before it's too late.

Really sad for Jade though :(, no one deserves this.

Yes, the exposure about breast cancer in 20-something women is good for that reason I agree.

I'd like to point out if you'd read any of the newspaper's today or heard Max Clifford on Radio 5 Live this morning you'd know that Digitalspy is correct:

As I can't be bothered to point out your stupidity in every single paper I'll just post one link:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/artic...weeks-live.html

The exact quote which is on camera had you'd watched Sky News exclusive video link from the Living TV reality show is:

'I’ve lived in front of cameras. And maybe I’ll die in front of them'

Sometimes you really do live up to Russt nickname for you.

More respect, perhaps, but the basic details being out there in the media can only encourage women of a similar age to check for cancer. If even one woman (or man!) was to check for cancer and they found it in time when otherwise they wouldn't have, won't Jade's public battle have been worth it?

I disagree.

A large number of celebrities have had cancer, but they've all publicised their illness without the need to have a crass TV show following them around until their dying day.

To name a few:

Patrick Swayze, Sheryl Crow, Lance Armstrong, Kylie Minogue, Olivia Newton John, Caron Keating, Helen Rollason, Wendy Richards, Anne Bancroft, Robert De Niro, Charlton Heston, Roger Moore, Arnold Palmer, Colin Powell, Norman Schwarzkopf, Frank Zappa, Gene Wilder, Farrah Fawcett, Kathy Bates, Edie Falco, Melissa Etheridge, Marianne Faithfull, Christina Applegate, Cynthia Nixon, Lynn Redgrave, Carly Simon, Jaclyn Smith

Have all had the dreadful misfortune to suffer from this terrible disease but none of them felt the need to make a fly on the wall TV show to highlight their plight whilst publicising their illness.

You've clearly misunderstood what I said. I didn't deny that she said the 'maybe I'll die in front of them' quote; I'm denying that she said she might allow cameras to film her death with that intention. What she was saying was that she's not going to stop making TV.

While this is going to sound a bit cold but since it is obvious she is going to die I wish she would hurry up and die so that the media move on to something else  its like the media are running a countdown to her death :manson:

I hate the way she is exploiting herself at the moment. Why do all of her pics in the papers and that look like she's posing?

Yes she has a terminal illness and yes she is using this to gain sympathy but she'd gain more sympathy if she'd stop exploiting herself!

There's a saying "walk a mile in their shoes" and I sure as hell wouldn't like to be in Jades shoes, so I'm not going to say anything for or against her.

True but this is the biggest media circus since the death of Princess Diana and it is starting to get annoying

jade has openly saaid she is out to make money so she can die knowing her kids will not want for anything when she dies, yes the coverage maybe too much but who can fault her for wanting to secure her kids future to help them not live the life she had growing up..

all i can say here to these people who are saying die or hurry up and die is that not one of us know what lies around the corner for us and its a long road that has no turn, how would anyone like to go go through what jade is going through and to hear people are hoping you will die....doesnt matter what anyone has done and at the end of th eday jade has never commited any huge serious crime or killed anyone so she or anyone with this awful disease does not deserve to have such harsh things said....jade is a mother at the end of the day how would any of you like to hear such things been said about your own mum

UH, well like someone else has written in this thread, I'm sure they'd appreciate the time left with their mum rather than f***ing money. But money's what it's all about these days, isn't it? OH DEAR.

And...uhm...basically I do agree with Craig and Scott and not to sound rude, but I'm pretty apathetic to all this.

You are TOTALLY splitting hairs mate, you made a rash statement in which you claimed that Richard was wrong, and you've been proven wrong by Richard and the facts that she said what she said, grow up and actually admit that you were wrong and just maybe me and Rich would actually have some respect for you.....

The actual point IS (if you'd bloody well wake up and LISTEN to what people are saying...) that to even contemplate allowing cameras to film her death is utterly contemptable and amoral, and someone in the media has clearly been putting the idea into her head, probably some utter turd like Max Clifford (whom I would cheerfully fukkin' disembowel with a rusty spoon tbh).... She, indeed, would gain far more sympathy by having a bit more dignity and self-respect than to carry on this horrendous fukkin' FREAK SHOW...... <_<

Bad enough that we seem to allow the mass media access to our daily lives with all this fukkin' "reality" bullsh!t without really questioning it, must we allow them access to our DEATHS as well.......????

UH, well like someone else has written in this thread, I'm sure they'd appreciate the time left with their mum rather than f***ing money.

Absolutely 100% SPOT ON..... And in PRIVATE as well, I would imagine..... The bloody media should be ashamed of themselves.....

Yep, and how much you want to bet they'll be running a "Jade Death Clock" on some fukkin' internet website....... <_<

I just cannot believe that there are some on this site that seem to be defending this sh!t..... I mean, you are a bunch of SICK FUKKIN' FREAKS..... :puke2: You must be seriously fukked in the head or so totally without any kind of morality or humanity if you really want to see a young woman with a terminal illness breathe her last breath on some reality show for your sick, twisted, fukked-up "entertainment"..... Jesus Christ, I am ASHAMED to even be associated with this level of moral sickness...... <_<

Why dont you lot just build a time machine and go back to Rome to see Christians being fed to lions... THAT'S your level.....

I kinda shut my mouth earlier when I read this as I know what it's like to lose a parent, so I wasn't particularly upset when it seemed like all she wanted to do now was support her children and, rather, sympathized with the kids. But this is all kinds of disgusting tbh. :/ The use of some sort of death reality show to make money is crossing a line, honestly. Write a book or something if you absolutely have to talk about your death, but a tv show goes way too far.

I wish her the best, but...

Thankfully I don't have to hear all about this in the US lulz.

but they were celebrities for a reason, they had a talent, jades only famous for being herself so i dont accept the comparison.

a very wise post.

why shouldnt she die in front of the camera? that IS how shes lived her life and i think it would be incredibly BRAVE for her to do that. imho its HER choice, and its YOURS as the whether or not you watch it!
