I have only seen two perfomances from DIDO since just before the album and after it was released which was on The Ellen show and Craig Ferguson. I wonder if shes even bothered about the album

Is she going to be releasing another song from the album as that would boost record sales and with some promotion could do very well.

I wish Dido's management are not that dumb to stop after first flop-single -_-

What a shame ! This is the best album released in 2008 and it won't even get a second single to promote it :(

I just see it as everyone missing out. Her true fans bought the album and I've yet to hear of anyone who bought and disliked it. A second single would be good, but I can't see it. What would you choose?
Quiet Times seems one of the most commercial and personally I love it but seriously what a mess of an album, even with just a bit more promotion this album could have been huge with all the anticipation for it.

if she does not do something i the next month or so then this era is stone dead

Quiet Times should be the next single

according to rumour, the next single is Quiet Times in Australia
I hope there is a second single to boost the album back into the top 10! It deserves much more than it's got!

The album will be bombed if Quite Time is released.

As for her status, don't worry, I can imagine the record company pressure her to record 5 killer track and release the "greatest hits" album by the end of this year. :P

I haven't heard about her in a long time. I see she had an album out in 08, never knew. what label or marketing team is backing her because it seems like they're doing a really bad

It amazes the hell out of me just how floppy this whole Dido comeback has been. It has to be one of the worse in all pop history. When her comeback was announced I was very positive about it, and I think not even the most passionate haters would have thought she would ever flop this badly. The album disappeared from anywhere in just a few days and dropped out of the Top 200 charts before even selling A HALF of what its predecessor album sold in just one week. Surely, she´s gone from the biggest UK female act to complete insignificant from just one album to another. Who the hell still cares about Dido in pop today? She´s hardly mentioned anywhere, she´s become as relevant as Lou Bega or Los Del Rio. Surely, artists careers go up and down all the time, but to go from huge superstar to such a nothingness from just one album to another is shocking. And I can´t say she didn´t deserve it - the lady barely moved a finger to save this project, and her rare appearences were depressing at best. She´s become pathetic, she doesn´t even have a cult. Surely, people would say what matters is not sales and chart positions - but what serious recognition Dido still have in music today? It´s not like she´s taken serious or have a following like other alternative acts who don´t sell millions. She didn´t even tour. She´s irrelevant. Who the hell even remember "Safe Trip Home" ever got released??? To me, it´s like her career has been finished 6 years ago.

An honest Dido "greatest hits" would just be a mix of No Angel/ Life For Rent tracks, cause her unremembered 3rd album didn´t produce anything close to a "hit". And in this case, I don´t think anyone would ever be interested by it - the whole country already have her first 2 albums, and in case they don´t, they can buy it almost for free in any budget. Buyng her 1st 2 albums would probably end up cheaper then buyng a newly released compilation of tracks of her first 2 albums. There´s hardly any interest in her, she´s nothing these days... Even if she ever records another killer track, she doesn´t bother promoting it and she´s become to old and too far forgotten to ever be taken seriously again.

there is no need for such negativity

one flop album doe snot spell out the end of a career,

look at some artists of today such as Kylie, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Mariah Carey

all have had a flop album but they come back with a better quality of album and can be successful again

Anastacia's new album has sold far less but she won't be letting that stop her

let's also not forget that her father died so she most likely is not completly over that and might not be in the

mood to promote an album

her record company most likely wanted the album out as it has been years since Life For Rent

they should release 2 more single sof this album and push it,fair enough the album hasnt done anywhere near aswell as expected but singles have always been used to promote albums and they dont seem to be doing that,2 more singles could very well help the album sell 500,000+ in the UK, i have a feeling though the record copmany have washed their hands of this album and wont do anything more with it which is a shame.

Alot of artists like mentioned experience under performing albums and bounce back, for dido the pressure will be on for the 4th album as it will need to do well, again i hope there isnt a 3 or 4 year gap for a 4th studio album and when it is done i hope its promoted properly,

several songs have been released to radio across the globe

i will try and find out which

The record company have left it too late to release another single now. One way they might rejuvanate interest is by re-releasing the album with a high profiled new single connected to a TV advert or film...but not much else will help Im afraid.

and what would the point in that be?

she has had one flop album, so bloody what, all that she has to de next time is record an album

that her fans would wantg and promote it more

just casting her away in a corner is utter nonsense
