February 6, 200916 yr Absolutely amazing. Possibly their best yet? YESYES <3 In other news, I just LMAOed at this. The Pet Shop Boys comeback single, "Love, Etc." has leaked onto the internets. Here is how the first play transpired. --- 0:01: Oh! Dark electronica. How moody. 0:10: "You need more, you need more." It sounds a bit like "Gimme More." I just felt a slight tingling sensation. 0:18: What a wonderfully eerie tube sound following behind Neil's voice! 0:29: Well, this is a rather enjoyable melod-- 0:30: OH MY GOD. 0:35: OH MY GOD. 0:40: OH MY GOD. 1:02: IT'S STILL GOING! 1:40: "Too much of everything is never enough." What a PSB lyric. 2:07: ...Here it comes! 2:08: DON'T HAVE TO BE! 3:18: Fading out on "Don't have to be beautiful, but it helps..." Genius. --- In short, I adore it on so many levels. "Love, Etc." is more instant and more engaging than anything the Boys have put out in years; it simply requires to be played on repeat. As for the melody, it's something like if the navy boys from "Go West" gathered together for a reunion, got a bit gloomy while discussing the dire state of the economy, popped in Confessions on a Dancefloor, and just started chanting in unison, fists on high. The album is going to be all shades of epic!
February 6, 200916 yr Author bloody EMI... here's the song, good quality, enjoy....sounds even better here; http://hypem.com/track/746204/Pet+Shop+Boys-Love+Etc.
February 6, 200916 yr Useful link a blatant plug http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...p;#entry2425610 :magic:
February 7, 200916 yr So good it hurts :o Love it so much  Would be amazing to see it being a huge hit !
February 7, 200916 yr MY OPINION COMING UP .. Not as good as i thought it would be coming from some people's over the top posts. Repetative and boring, hate his voice too. The only good bit is the 'dont have to be' parts. BORING.
February 7, 200916 yr Author BORING. but... you're a Girls Aloud fan... surely your boredom threshold is far lower than most people's...?
February 7, 200916 yr I also don't think it's as good as people are making it out to be... I was expecting something fantastic, but apart from the intro it is very underwhelming.
February 7, 200916 yr maybe people are being 'over the top' because its the first really high quality single in years from one of Britain's best and most influential acts I don't agree that it's the best song of their career (Trashlexis :P) but it is certainly their best single of this decade
February 7, 200916 yr The way we work on BJ is NOT jumping on somebody by attacking their own personal taste when they express an opinion. -_- Nobody has had a go at Jonny!
February 7, 200916 yr The way we work on BJ is NOT jumping on somebody by attacking their own personal taste when they express an opinion. -_- Nobody has had a go at Jonny! Because Jonny didn't express his opinion in a conceited and immature manner? :P
February 7, 200916 yr Author Because Jonny didn't express his opinion in a conceited and immature manner? :P exactly. ;) And as for this 'way we work on Buzzjack'...quite well aware, Jark...some of us have been on BJ for far, far longer than some of you newbies, so we know the score round here.
February 7, 200916 yr I think you need to brush up on your definitions if you think having been an active forum member for two years constitutes a newbie... And if you're debating that it's okay to retaliate to a valid criticism (albeit expressed in a slightly immature manner) by attacking somebody's personal taste when it has nothing to do with the topic of conversation, you're wrong, as an admin will happily tell you.
February 7, 200916 yr I wouldn't say this is the best single of their career either, I mean they have total classics such as 'I Wouldn't Normally Do This Kind Of Thing', 'Can You Forgive Her?', 'Love Comes Quickly', 'It's A Sin' etc. for a start. As for the past decade, they've had some wonderful singles as well... 'Flamboyant', 'Miracles', 'I Don't Know What You Want But I Can't Give It Any More', 'New York City Boy', 'Home And Dry', 'Minimal'. :o
February 7, 200916 yr Oh, don't get me wrong, they've had some stunning stuff in the past :o I even loved I'm With Stupid <3 It's just that currently this is rather amazing for me :P Oh whoops, it's my #1 already :kink:

In relation to other members here, Jark - you're a newbie.... BJ has been around a lot longer than you have. You may hate that fact - but a fact it is. 2. There was no valid criticism - if you think 'boring' (in capital letters) is valid...then we're obviously from a very different school of thought. And a Girls Aloud fan calling these maestros 'boring' - well, I'm sure even you must see the irony in that. 3. Buzzjack has rules and regulations and codes of practice - I suggest you read through them, as you appear, on many occasions, especially with the older members on this site, to contravene them.
February 7, 200916 yr 1. Why would I hate that fact? The only FACT is that I'm as well qualified as you or anybody else to make judgements about how we do and don't work around here. 2. He didn't call PSBs boring, he calling this song boring. 3. YOU are the one contravening them and I do NOT know why the Pop forum moderator has actually been into this topic in the past five minutes to post and completely ignored this situation...
