Posted February 6, 200916 yr The Brits are quite well known for their collaborations. Rihanna and The Klaxons put on an Awesome performance last year, with Estelle & The Ting Tings hoping to be just as good... Estelle, Ting Tings collaborate at Brits Friday, February 6 2009, 15:28 GMT By Alex Fletcher, Entertainment Reporter Rex Features Organisers have confirmed that Estelle and The Ting Tings will perform together at the Brit Awards. The two acts will do a "one-off collaboration" at the February 18 ceremony, reports Music Week. "Our audience research tells us that Brits viewers love collaborations and this pairing of Estelle and the Ting Tings, two of Britain's hottest and most exciting acts, will not disappoint," said Brits committee chairman Ged Doherty. Estelle is nominated for Best Female and Best Single with 'American Boy' at the ceremony, while The Tings Tings are in the Best British Album and Best Breakthrough categories. Kings Of Leon, Duffy, U2, Girls Aloud and The Pet Shop Boys have been previously confirmed to play the event at London's Earl's Court. Hmm... I can't stand neither Estelle or The Ting Tings Live. :( I was hoping for the Pet Shop Boys to team up with The killers or something (Like Rumoured before) So am disappointed TBH! Although I guess we'll have to wait and see ;) Edited February 15, 200916 yr by Jonjo
February 6, 200916 yr Ooh I can't wait. :o Anything to do with Estelle excites me really. It'll be an...interesting duet I guess. I wonder what they'll be singing.
February 7, 200916 yr They both come from different genres of music! how are they going to be able to sing together
February 7, 200916 yr They both come from different genres of music! how are they going to be able to sing together The same way Klaxons and Rihanna did, I imagine. Anyway, I don't see why they chose Estelle to perform... she is a nobody. She had one hit single last year, and that's it. Her album was a mega flop, all of her other singles were mega flops and she'll never have another hit again.

What's to say she won't have another big hit in the future? Amercian Boy was one of the biggest hits of last year, though she is awful live. I don't think that we know that PSBs won't be collaborating yet though!

Amercian Boy was one of the biggest hits of last year, though she is awful live. I suppose there's no guarantee, but I believe she got lucky with 'American Boy'. She was never that successful before, and she got no other hits off this one album including the album itself, I'd be pretty amazed if she were to ever find her way into the top 10 again.

Me too, I'm a big fan of hers but it sems that Kanye was the selling point for "American Boy", not Estelle. :( As long as she keeps on releasing music I'll be happy.
February 7, 200916 yr Author I think it's was mainly thanks to KanYe TBH! The version of American Boy without him, is actually quite boring and goes hardly anywhere. Without KanYe, would it have been as successful? Hmmm, I'm not sure TBH.
February 7, 200916 yr Unfortunetly i think Aly is right on this ocassion. American Boy would have been huge no matter who sang on it. Also unlike Alesha Dixon & The Saturdays she didnt have anything else on her album that could have saved it for her.
February 9, 200916 yr This is the crappiest collaboration in the history of collaborations. Whose idea was it??
February 9, 200916 yr Amazing collaboration, I can't wait for it! I know Alan is right about the album not having any more hits (though in terms of progress, a No.6 album after a No.36 album is headed in the right direction), but I have no doubt there will be a future album - the woman is a Grammy winner and a Mercury Music Prize nominee (for the album as a whole, which is critically acclaimed), there's no doubt at all she'll be back with more material, it's not as if we're talking a novelty one hit wonder who has no chance of future success - she has plenty of chance with the right record again - she came close to the top 10 with 1980 long before American Boy!
February 10, 200916 yr Rihanna and the Klaxons was brilliant last year! However, I don't have a good feeling about this one.... it will either be great or awful IMO.
