Poor Delta, she never used to look like a horse but every year older she looks more and more like Celine Dion. Interesting fact: Delta co-wrote Celine's single Eyes On Me from the Taking Chances era!

And for me this task is even more enjoyable than expected because i've finally come out of the Delta-closet i had no idea i've been in :kink:

That photo with her massive hair was everywhere when i was in Aus. Huge massive posters hung down from the roof's of Gardo :wub: I miss that place, and seeing Delta's face everywhere :lol:

I've been in love since the first time I heard Born To Try. One of only 6/229 songs to enter my personal chart at #1! Believe Again was, unsurprisingly, another of the six.

A top 3/5 debut used to be a once a year event, but it's become more regular recently, particularly since I started taking part in BJSC and my entries kept doing it :kink:

 

But a #1 debut is incredibly rare. I hardly ever love a brand new song instantly, I always take a few listens to warm to most things, certainly to place them above every other song in my chart on the first instance at least. Having said that, most of my top ten of the year had high debuts;

None debuted at #1 though! Satellite did well to debut at #5 considering my infamous opening comments about it upon the first listen six days earlier. The studio version really sold it to me though :wub:

Ha! Well at least it went top ten in April/May to prove I'm not a complete sheep :D It would have peaked higher originally but ESC songs kept it at bay.

February until the week after the contest usually for me, which is when I have a major ESC clearout :lol: Maybe it would be different if I ever see it live, as the 2009 MF songs lingered around for aaaaages in my chart.

Yeah, it's an unfortunate shot, I'm really not a fan of using extreme close up shots for album covers - see also Leona/Amy MacDonald.

Leona looks far more horse like on the Spirit cover that Delta does on the Delta cover
