February 10, 200916 yr Actually directors come up with an ideas and then the management pick the one the idea they like the most and what will do the most for the song. And i can't believe people are saying that because one of the band waving a fan makes them copycats. Plus i remember people saying that the video to Issues was copying the video for Whole Lotta History because one of them was walking by a river.
February 10, 200916 yr id be surprised if dave ghan (or whoever wrote it...vince clarke?) havnt waived their royalties and donated them too to the charity. i expect it was a condition of the track being used. They probably did waive royalties from this because its likely their own version of this song will sell loads on downloads anyway.
February 10, 200916 yr All the profit made usually does go to the charity's. I wouldn't have thought it would have been any different with this one.

Sugababes follow me home video is also quite similar. Its not just because of the fan, that was just an example. Its quite difficult to explain, its so many different things all rolled up into one - the names to introduce each girl like in The show and the way that each girl is doing something really camp and cheesy is just like the show too. It just has a very girls aloud feel to it. Oh and i do believe one is hoovering up, werent girls aloud sweeping up in the show? Edited February 10, 200916 yr by andyboiuk
February 10, 200916 yr sweeping and hovering are different. oh and didn't Freddie Mercury hover in a Queen video.

Just because they're using their names on the month doesn't mean they're copying from 'The Show'. That really is pathetic. LOADS of band's and artists have introduced themselves at the start of video's FCOL! You really are just nit-picking now!
February 10, 200916 yr ^^ yeh i'm nit picking, these two videos are the complete opposite of each other. I suddenly really dislike this song.
February 10, 200916 yr ^^ yeh i'm nit picking, these two videos are the complete opposite of each other. I suddenly really dislike this song. They are COMPLETELY different! How on God's Earth are these three, the same, even Similar for that matter... Girls Aloud - The Show: iFuBOtfs370 Girls Aloud - Can't Speak French: The Saturdays - Just Can't Get Enough: Vte4HUoRDSI
February 10, 200916 yr They are COMPLETELY different! How on God's Earth are these three, the same, even Similar for that matter... As I said earlier, I thought of the "Can't Speak French" video the first time I saw this one and I'm hardly a GA fan looking for similarities to makes the Sats look bad. To start with, both girl groups have exaggerated hairstyles in the video. (I know, hardly a big thing but it's something I noticed) Then there's the fact that both groups are practically wearing sexy underwear, but GA have slightly more clothes on. Both groups also so their 'sexy' faces down the camera and dance suggestively. (slightly bending over in their lingerie/whatever it is they have on) I guess when you say it like that, it sounds like a generic girl group video but you can't say the two videos don't share any similarities. I'm not saying they steal concepts from each other, the GA video obviously seems to be them wooing French people with their 'funky music' and the Sats are dressing up in different sexy costumes for Comic Relief but when I watch them both I find them similar. I don't see the similarities between it and "The Show" (which is my fave GA video) other than the girls both showing their fun sides.
February 10, 200916 yr There are no similarities between Just Cant Get Enough and The Show and tbh i to start with i didnt see any with CSF either but i understand what some of you are saying i guess. It's hardly copying though.
February 10, 200916 yr PopJustice predict number 4  What number will the Saturdays single get to? FORE!!! The 'Just Can't Get Enough' video is here for the time being - like the song itself it's best described as a 'romp', and it features pretty ladies in their pants and bras. Then again so does Google Images.

Well if Girls Aloud fans are going to get high & mighty regarding the new Saturdays video which is calender Girl themed so I can't see the coincidence myself... Then Girls Aloud fans need to be firmly reminded how they ripped off the Pipettes sound & visually (especially Sarah's hairstyle ripping off Gwenno's) which was picked up by certain quarters of the media including the indie girl trio themselves. Girls Aloud - The Promise (2008) The Pipettes - Pull Shapes (2006) Seeing how both are homages to the 1960s neither is exactly original in the first place.

But surely that's just down to the editing and everything... I mean surely there were plenty of other shots they could have used, but they decided to go for them one's... Maybe they're shots to give it a 40's/50's look (Which is what both 'Can't Speak French' & 'Just Can't Get Enough' are aiming to do ) Edited February 10, 200916 yr by Jonjo

But remember, "GA probably don't know who the Pipettes are so you can't say they ripped them off". I don't see this as a direct rip off but aspects of the two are similar.
February 10, 200916 yr I don't see this as a direct rip off but aspects of the two are similar. Thats exactly what i was saying, i dont think this is a rip off, its just similar. Some of you (Jonjo) are really hard work, i am not suggesting that 5 girls in a salon is similar to whatever the sats are doing in their vid. I am saying the similarity is the concept of getting into character and acting fun with all the facial expressions and clumsy use of props. A lot of people are saying the choreography is very girls aloud aswell. And just to point out, GA have done similar videos to other acts before. SNNN is very similar to xtinas fighter. But there is nothing wrong with that, the same way that there is nothing wrong with the sats doing a similar inspired video to girls aloud.
February 10, 200916 yr PopJustice predict number 4  PopJustice also predicted that "The Loving Kind" would get to number 1.
February 10, 200916 yr PopJustice also predicted that "The Loving Kind" would get to number 1. But wasnt that before the whole Three Month break thing? If they promoted it, then it wouldve had a better chance..
February 10, 200916 yr Actually, i now think the video for this has more in common with the likes of Denial (Sugababes) and Save The Lies (Gabriella Cilmi) than the likes of Cant Speak French.
