This is so f***ed up.

The mother treats him like a kid. "What do you think it takes to be a good Dad?"

I can't think how this is physically possible. I mean look at him, he doesn't look like he has a single hair on his balls. And what made her have sex with him when he was 12 at the time...?

Exactly, his voice hasn't even broke (check the video). I'm not being rude/discriminating (if that's the right word), but looking at him, you can kinda of tell from what type of area he comes from...

It's such an oddly-matched couple though.

I actually thought the girlfriend was his mammy when I first saw that photo of the two of them

Oh dear.....

First off I hate The Sun. The whole spin they've put on this story just gives me another reason to hate them. :puke2: It says something about our country that this IS the most popular paper.

But aside from my rant I think this is quite franky discusting. I've nothing wrong with people having kids at a young age, I mean it's happened in my family and they've all turned out right, but fucking hell this kid can't even look after himself let alone a new-born baby. He's 4ft tall ffs. I don't want to be rude but have you seen the state of his "girlfriend". She is proper ugly and looks like she could be his mum. I hope the police get involved, as it seems to me like she's taken advantage of the kid. She might be under the age of consent but i'm sure she'll have been given sex education at school so she should have known better really.

Reading that article is just sickening really. The enviroment the baby is going to be living in is no way for a kid to be brought up. And there's no way in hell that kid could look after a baby.

I'm sure there's a law that says if you have sex with someone under the age of 13 no matter if they consented it can be classed as statutory rape.

According to the teenage parents, their baby daughter - born weighing 7lb 3oz - was conceived after a single night of unprotected sex. 'I was on the Pill but missed one,' Chantelle told The Sun.

God that made me laugh! Yeah and my name's Bruce Lee.

It is, [i think it's under the age of 16 actually], but because this is a case of the female being older than the male, I reckon it won't (or be handled in a different way).

Tbh, people having children/sex underage, I don't think it's much of a problem. Campaigns/Government aren't going to stop it, they should just do what they can to help. But cases like this.. it's disturbing.

I read that he didn't even know that having unprotected sex could make her pregnant!

In the interview with him broadcast tonight on the telly the reporter asked 'How are you going to support the child financially?'

To which Alfie replied 'What's financially?'

Still, I don't suppose he'll need to worry. The taxpayer will foot the bill.

It should be handled in the same way even if its a girl. I'm sure nothing will come of it because she's a mum and everything, but it should.

There's no way underage sex can be stopped. Is impossible. It's always going to happen, and the goverment clearly recognises that, but at the moment unprotected sex is a big issue. Not only for pregnancies, but for STDs too. But this girl should have known better. It wasn't like she was drunk or anything. Reading that article makes her out to be a bit of a whore (I don't know many guys that would wanna have sex with her though) and the Daily Mail even question whether he is actually the dad.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was a Sun publicity stunt.

Just look at the boy, I doubt he's even hit puberty yet. STD/STI's are the main concern, but the government just need to stop trying to stop it happening, There's been more of a change recently, where it's more "If you're going to have sex, use a condom" which is the main message that should be put across.

Tbh, the girl herself doesn't even look 15. Ruff as fuck though.

The Daily Mail actually raised soemthing there which was actually my first thought on it, is there any proof that it's his? I mean, no way does she look 15, she looks like his mother for god's sakes and would probably sleep with anything stupid enough to do so, so therefore i'd say a parental test was needed there.

I agree with you. But people have the mentality that it's always the male that's in the wrong in these situations. Reactions will be "yeah, well, he was willing to have sex with her..." and that will count as a valid excuse. BUT if the roles were reversed and that was said about the girl, there'd be uproar and every feminist/anti-male person in the country would be ranting and raving about how he violated her and took advantage of her. Oh, but he's just a boy, obviously he was in the wrong and he forced her to sleep with him and she had no choice... because that's always the case.

Either way, it should be dealt with like any other statutory rape case.

I know they seem to want to look after the baby, but they're too young. I have nothing against teenagers having sex, but this is just a bit too early.

I honestly dont know how this can be surprising to anyone, this happened 10 years ago with a lad named Sean Stewart and his girlfriend, there's also been a case of an 11-year old girl being pregnant, and the lad's sister got pregnant when she was 13 as well....

I'm with the people who say there should be a Paternity Test... Sounds to me like she's been "putting it about" a bit, has had a fair few boyfriends, etc.... The whole bullsh!t of "I was on the pill, but missed one" is a total fabrication if you ask me, it takes a LOT more than just missing "one" to get pregnant.... I think she intended to get pregnant tbh.....

Child Benefit: Paid automatically for each child - £72.80 a week.

Council Tax Benefit: Likely to cover the full bill - £30 a week.

Child Tax Credit: Now the main payment to support children of out-of-work or low income mothers. Possible payment for the five Stedman children - £221 a week.

Income Support: If paid to Penny and Steve as a live-in couple - £94.95 a week.

Housing Benefit: Likely to cover the full rent of their council house, together with any service charges. This may be - £150 a week.

Total: £568.75 a week, or £29,575 a year.

Okay, this is sourced from The Daily Mail, but I dunno, it doesn't seem like it'll be all that far out.. Nice money if you can get it.... £30k per annum eh....? Christ, feckless fukkin' chav scum are being paid more to drop litters of brats than teachers, social workers, office workers, armed forces personnel or nurses...... Fukkin' disgrace...... <_< Dunno why I'm bothering to graft hard and study to be a teacher come September tbh, should just get my girlfriend pregnant and scrounge off the state.....

geez scott, is it any wonder these scum are career parents?... they are getting more then i get by a mile, clearly the benefits system is all wrong.

Either way, it should be dealt with like any other statutory rape case.

Actually, you have a point.... I really think it's about time we started prosecuting a few people here, start making examples, make the parents of these kids more responsible as well (the parents of Chantelle just seemed to let her do what the hell she wanted - great parenting I must say).... As harsh as this may sound, if it actually got through to people that you could go to prison on a Stat Rape charge, then, well, let's see if that might actually prevent a lot of this from happening, and making parents responsible for the actions of their kids might actually get it through their thick skulls to be proper parents.. Might not stop all cases, but I reckon it would drive the statistics down a fair bit....

And, it does nothing to improve society, nothing to improve their lot as individuals within that society either.... We just have a social underclass whose only function is to breed.... None of these people even talk about "careers" or ambitions, or even getting a good education.... Well, some of them talk about becoming "celebs" (without actually working at a talent or ability towards achieving this goal, they want to be an "instant celeb" on fukkin' Big Brother or X(crement)-Factor), whatever that means, or whoring themselves off to some bloody footballer or other, but apart from that, Christ, actually work for a living, god no, not when we can just draft in cut-price immigrants to exploit and control.....

It's not only our benefits system that's all wrong, it's our entire fukked-up society..... Nu Labor and the Tories can bleat all they want about "Broken Britain".... If you ask me, it's the past 30 years of fukkin' Thatcherism and Nu Labor that's 'broken' it more than anything...... <_<

As much as the whole thing disgusts me - to compensate for the boy looking about eight - the girl looks about 45! If it wasn't for these 'chav' people dropping brats like there's no tomorrow - where would all the nice middle-class social workers, housing officers, sundry law legals people get their income from?

But I agree - at the end of the day ... its the working class and by that expression I do actually mean 'people who work' who pick up the tab. I don't know, a bit extreme here ... but maybe Keith Joseph was right all those years ago ... he said something like 'put something in the water to stop them breeding'. Having said that .... if they had I wouldn't be here to entertain you all!

Norma

This is just bad on so many levels, he honestly does look about 8 or 9 years old. Whilst, she, on the other hand, looks about 17. Its just really sickening to read, and the fact that the parents don't seem that phased by it, just makes it seem even worse.

And, yes, she does a bit like Karen Matthews
