it was up into the 50's on iTunes during last week

Was it?

I recall it only ever going back up as high as the low 60s.

No - I definitely remember seeing it at 58 at one point - but it wasn't for long!

Edit - I take it back B-rye! It was 68 not 58!!!! Still not bad going!

90. Girls Aloud – The Promise 454,808

Woho GA in the list twice! :cheer:

Lady GaGa with two songs in the top 30 of the decade. Impressive. I wish Just Dance would overtake Sex On Fire, doubt it has much chance now.

i think it could just about do it. As it will sell over 700k by the end of the year.
I almost hate to mention this but in the interests of accuracy surely the Tweenies should be in there with "Number 1"? Apparently it sold 286,000 in 2000, and it spent several weeks in the Top 40 at the beginning of 2001.

You are quite right. It had sold something like 338,000 by the end of 2001.

I only have the Tweenies on this :(

Tweenies - Number One 287000, I shall check the end of year sales for when it charted...

Just done a bit of checking, it sold 286k in 2000, and in 2001 did not make the T200 year end chart, so sold less than 56k.

It charted on 11 Nov 2000 and charted T75 for 23 weeks, so some of its chart run would be in 2001 as well. I think from #16 onwards would be sales in 2001? Maybe say it sold 15k? Unless someone knows better, so 286k + 15k = 301k? Maybe round up to 305k?

She is indeed. None of the others (of those that have won to date) ever will , even GA's The Promise won't overtake SOTU.

Gareth, Will and Leona have all performed admirably with subsequent singles.

And Hi, not seen you around for a while, hope you are keepign well.
