March 2, 200916 yr I could probably cope with ABBA a lot better if it wasn't for all the totally irritating bumming that's been going on since all this "Mamma Mia" sh!t...... GOD!!!!! I really just do not need a bunch of Hollywood thesps doing 'Karaoke ABBA'....... And also the bloody Camp Mafia too....... Quality Pop, yes, but come on, we could do without the camp, tacky baggage that seems to come along with it.....

Quality Pop, yes, but come on, we could do without the camp, tacky baggage that seems to come along with it..... thats the problem with it though scott, abba are only being remembered for the camped up versions of their songs. its as if some 70's tracks are prime for karaoke and have become 'everybodies' property and not just those of us whos generation it was. who would have thought that 30 years on 'i will survive' and 'ymca' let alone dancing queen would be known by everyone. abba should be remembered for their quality pop and not tracks that the drunken masses can paaarrrtteh to like dancing queen and mama mia.

March 6, 200916 yr thats the problem with it though scott, abba are only being remembered for the camped up versions of their songs. And, it's very unfortunate that Benny and Bjorn just seem to be happy to go along with having their musical legacy p!ssed on in this manner..... :( Fair enough, it's making money for them I suppose, and I guess they never really have to work again, but still, you cant put a price tag on dignity or credibility...... It's the same with Elvis though... Too many fools out there who choose to only "impersonate" the camp, Vegas, Joke Elvis and not the passionate young man who really did create an epoch.....
