Was Mut-Mut leaving & Ameril joining planned before their 'Taller In More Ways' album even came out then?

(2001) Mutya left after the UGLY video. (21st December 2005) Heidi joined the group in the autumn of 2001, FREAK LIKE ME was her first video with the group. February 25, 200916 yr I'm also confused... What has Keisha's hair got to do with Amelle? I'm saying ... Keish had her hair tied back in a weave during "Push The Button" era. Amelle (thanks for correcting me) joined AFTERWARDS, right? But there is a picture of the ladies together during "PTB" single era. February 25, 200916 yr I don't think I am making sense. The picture above looks like it was from the "Push The Button" era. I could (and probably am) be wrong. Here is where the confusion begins. Ms Thang joined the other two ladies after Mutya left. So, that would be after "Ugly" and before "Red Dress". What I'm asking is if Mutya leaving was planned right from the jump, based on the above picture.
February 26, 200916 yr Mut Mut left after the Ugly video was shot, and part way through the promo for it. In effect MutMut left mid/early Dec. BUT the record label, the remiainin sugas and Mut agreed to keep it quiet while they found a replacement which is what k & h wanted. They had melly sing a couple of songs and let K & H hear it, then they said yeah so they had a qucik photoshoot done. It could be that they just had the same stylist as before. Muts departure was announced on the 21st and melly arrived on the 22nd to keep media speculation low and undercontrol and to stop rumours of a full split.
