March 2, 200916 yr Botany bay was where all the transported prisoners actually landed when they were taken over in the prison ships.... I totally agree that illegal labour has no place in a civilised society, I too am totally against it.. But, I tend to blame the 'employers' and the State a lot more.... The state in the UK and US allows illegal labour to happen under the table, I bet in Aus too, they just make it look as though they're being "tough", the workmasters pay off the cops or a few local politicians, they probably get left to their own devices... It talks the talk of "doing something" about it, but that's just so much bollocks really, the facts are that the Capitalist system generally relies upon the workers being exploited and workers' movements being weak and fragmented.... Strong, unified workers' groups are not generally something that Governments want to deal with because they then start demanding far too many rights, better pay, better conditions, etc..... Workers getting a good deal is not good for "Free Market Capitalism".... ...And then, when these fukkin' Capitalists completely cock it all up, who is it they come to...? The hard-working taxpayer to bail them out of their sh!t...... i see. I am not entirely sure that the state just lets it slide. The Aussies deport the illegal in more than half of the cases. sometimes they let the person stay with a proper visa. However if the person knowingly come to Australia to work without the appropriate visa they tend to deport them. My visa allows me to work 20hrs/wk during term time. If i violated that then i face deportation and the company faces huge fines. A$60k is a figure i seem to remember. Australia stands no messing when it comes to their boarders and they protect them fiercely. You knowingly fail to declare something they fine you AS$220 and depending on the item can seize it. Drug Smugglers get 7years in prision. Hell fishing illegally in Aussie waters sees you get a massive A$75k fine and second time they take your boat. Hell they even imprison people for it.

Same thing in UK, but there are ways that a lot of the more dodgy employers find around that though... You talk about "cases", well, yeah, okay, that's the ones they "catch"... I'm willing to bet that for everyone they catch out, there's about 10 that slip through the net, pay off a few coppers here and there and it's like "what sweatshop"...? How else do these guys function....? It's broadly the same thing with this bloody Escort agency if you ask me, no way you're gonna tell me the filth didn't know anything about this before that teacher started kicking up a stink about it.... How else do you suppose these nonces who ran this agency got off without being prosecuted... They were in all liklihood lining a few coppers' pockets to "look the other way" (or perhaps they were getting "freebies", who knows..? We certainly never will, seeing as how they've dropped it all on the QT... <_< ) to their illegal activities, the cops actually go to court against these guys, then they start snitching on what cops they've maybe got on the take.... The "authorities" in so many cases are even bigger scum than a lot of the criminals..... Worse because these are the guys who are supposed to protect us, and protect underage teenage girls from being preyed on by evil fukkin' nonces like this... We PAY them to protect us, they serve US, about time these buggers in the Police and in Parliament started remembering who they work for..... <_<
March 2, 200916 yr Its about time more is done to protect young people from being exploited in this industry. I think it was all just allowed to go away as too many high ranking people stood to have their precious reputations lost. Quite a joke tbh, considring a tarnished rep can be rebuilt. What people like this girl suffer can't be repaired.
