July 20, 200916 yr Saturdays jet to LA to record new album Monday, July 20 2009, 15:33 BST By Nick Levine, Music Editor The Saturdays have revealed that they are flying to Los Angeles this week to work on their second album. The girlband aim to complete the follow-up to Chasing Lights - their 2008 debut - in time for a September or October release. "Hopefully when we get out there we might get a chance to work with Evan Sturken and Carl Rogers, who wrote 'Issues' and did a lot of Rihanna's stuff," group member Rochelle Wiseman told DS. "But we've got a pretty strict schedule while we're out there so we're seeing what happens." The Saturdays previously told DS that their new album will show a progression from their debut. August 4, 200915 yr The Saturdays 'threaten to go on strike' The Saturdays have threatened to go on strike in order to secure time off work, it has been claimed. According to The Sun, the 'Issues' five-piece managed to secure two weeks' holiday after a standoff with their record label. The argument was reportedly sparked by the company's decision to have the girls share hotel rooms and fly economy class. A source said: "It's been non-stop for them for the last year and they have had enough. The album and tour were a success and they are bringing in loads of cash with endorsements. "They feel it's time they were rewarded for all their hard work. They have a reputation for doing whatever they're told but now they are taking a stand." Singer Vanessa White recently described her group as the "princesses" of girlband pop compared to "queens" Sugababes, Pussycat Dolls and Girls Aloud. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/a168933/...-on-strike.html
August 4, 200915 yr Author Cant say im suprised, it does appear as if they havent really stopped since this time last year.
August 4, 200915 yr Good on them! :P I can't believe they've already finished recording, it's gone so fast. :o
August 18, 200915 yr Ina on quite a few of these tracks rumoured for the album: * Baby Baby (Larossi, Rhomdhane, Wroldsen) * Deeper (Healy, King, Sandford, White, Wiseman, Wroldsen) * Denial (Braide, Wroldsen) * No One (Eriksen, Wroldsen) * Ego * Can't Pull Me Back * Lemon Slice! (Eriksen, Wroldsen) * One Shot (Kreuger, Magnusson, Wroldsen) * Wordshaker (Eriksen, Wroldsen) * Forever Is Over (Watters, Biancaniello, Bourne)
August 19, 200915 yr Author Yeap. I cant say im thrilled at them singing a song called Ego either. The Dolly Rockers would have the time of their lives with that. Alicia Keys and Sugababes were the first things that came to my head when i saw No One and Denial aswell tbh Id quite like it to be true if they were co-writing a few of them tbh, it is confirmed that they are?
August 19, 200915 yr They only have co-writing credits on Deeper. :( But I'm sure there are loads more tracks out there we just don't know about. Agree about Ego, Denial and No One- likewise Alicia and Sugababes were my first thoughts and I LOVE both those songs.
August 19, 200915 yr Yeah, they confirmed that they've been writing on the album. And Unofficial was written by Vanessa too.
August 21, 200915 yr ^ Love Unofficial! Hopefully they half a couple at least, so far looks like a whole lot of Ina!
August 21, 200915 yr Ina Wroldsen - our favourite writer  http://www.nettwerk.com/sites/nettwerk.com/files/imagecache/client_view_306/sites/newsite.nettwerk.com/files/client/images/ina.0051komp.jpg
