December 23, 200915 yr Wordshaker should manage Silver at least. :) Edited December 23, 200915 yr by Wordshaker
December 23, 200915 yr They should do a medley of a few of Wordshaker songs on a high profile show (after they've released Ego obviously) and try and get the album sold before going back to promote single #2.
December 26, 200915 yr any ideas on a 3rd single yet? I suspect it'll be Here Standing, but wouldn't be suprised if it's One Shot or No One.
December 26, 200915 yr Author I reckon they'll go for Here Standing aswell tbh. Issues really sold the album well and I think they'll be hoping for that again. They should then close the album with either One Shot or Wordshaker, hope the album sales are decent enough by this time and take a good few months out to recover from this era.
December 26, 200915 yr I think Frankie and Una jinxed this era by putting comments about the saturdays 2nd album being a curse etc in the album covers...
December 28, 200915 yr 'Wordshaker' Amazon - 40 iTunes - 56 highest it's been in ages! Aha, that's a good sign :D I don't think 'Ego' will recover 'Wordshaker' as much as 'Issues' revived 'Chasing Lights' but i'm sure they wont get dropped just because of it. I blame the management at the end of the day anyway :D
December 28, 200915 yr Does anyone else think 'Not Good Enough' would be a good single? Although the lyrics appear to be written by an illiterate  "My eyes doesn't want to look at you" ?!?!
December 28, 200915 yr Author Nah, its one of the weaker tracks on the album imo. My money's on Here Standing as third single with Lose Control as fourth (If we get one..)
December 29, 200915 yr Does anyone else think 'Not Good Enough' would be a good single? Although the lyrics appear to be written by an illiterate  "My eyes doesn't want to look at you" ?!?! I don't think Not Good Enough will be a single, basicly cause the amount of crap jokes the press and "haters" will make out of the name of the song :P Also is just me or does NGE basicly sound like it was recorded before they decided not to focus so much on frankie as she has quite a big part on it, as does rochelle, and i know it was one of the first songs recorded for Chasing Lights, so were they gonna have frankie and rochelle as the leads orignaly based on them already being known?
December 29, 200915 yr I've realised Lose Control could be an amazing single - just imagine a school/teenage-themed music video with loads HSM-inspired dance routines in the school canteen/field etc.
December 29, 200915 yr I think they went for the "mature" route a little too soon. I mean Girls Aloud were still singing about slaggy girls (Racey Lacey, Chemistry album) 3-4yrs after they were formed... However I put full responsibility on the management for the poor sales still :D
December 30, 200915 yr any ideas on a 3rd single yet? I think if 'Ego' dosen't do as well as anticipated, they'll release 'Wordshaker' as the final single, and if that fails, then god knows. But I think they need to go for a safe route for the next single and release 'Lose Control' or something up-beat, and majorly catchy. 'Lose Control' is the one that stands out for that reason. But expect full miming for 'Lose Control' on the promo lol. --- Up to #63 on iTunes! Edited December 30, 200915 yr by olm-remix
December 30, 200915 yr However I put full responsibility on the management for the poor sales still :D Me too. If The Sats get dropped for this (which is unlikely, tbh, they're more of a singles artist anyway and they're the only active act on Polydors roster atm) then it'd be a darn shame as it was the management who f***ed up Wordshaker in every way possible.
December 30, 200915 yr Author The management are 100% to blame for this. The amount of f*** up's they've done in the last few months has been amazing. a. Totally wrong lead single b. Releasing the album after just one single. It took Girls Aloud years to do this, why would it make sense for The Sats to do it on the second album c. Leaving no gap between Work and Forever Is Over at all The themeing. The promo. The performing! Im sorry but making them mime is an awful decision. Have you seen Vanessa trying to mime, the microphone is miles from the girls mouth most of the time. SACK THE MANAGEMENT NOW! Saying that. Say Fascination do drop them. Would there be a point. Girls Cant Catch and Sophie Ellis Bextor aint bringing in any money are they and are unlikely to do so. Girls Aloud wont continue forever. They might aswell keep them on. Surely they can see the potential in their popularity. Plus if they do get dropped I will just go into mourning and lament the Pop Forum with WE REMEMBER THE GOOD DAYS threads :(
