Thanks Dave - we have 1,678,810 for Will's Friday's Child - up to 2008 year end. It won't alter his position but it looks better

Thanks for that.

I didn't know there was an official figure available for Will. Must have missed it.

I'll amend it now.

The estimate was only around 4K out. :)

Yeah, it's from the 90s.

I expected someone to say that Abba should be there. But as I have no idea how much it has sold this decade, I can't really put it in the chart.

That's true.

The figure includes compilations as well.

The Virgin British Hit Albums Book in June.

I believe they have taken over from Guinness

I own 19 of them

I'm a bit suprised that Madonnas Confessions isn't on there. I have no idea how many it's sold, but i always thought it sold more then Music

I'm very happy that MJs 'Number Ones' and Kylies 'Fever' are on there though

The OCC have up-dated their 'All Time' UK Album Sales Data. They have taken their Top 100 Albums Chart, (November 2006), & have:,

1) Removed the 6 Film Soundtrack Albums from it. (But have compiled an All Time Top 5 Soundtracks List, instead).

2) Removed all the 'Hits' & 'Best Of' etc. Compilations from it. (But have compiled the All Time Top 40 of such Albums).

3) Leaving the Top 100 as an Artist/Studio Album List, now.

4) The up-dates go up to, (& including), the Sales in the Chart of W/E 3rd January 2009 - as the Sales for that Chart were in 2008.

5) They hope that Virgin will agree to put all 3 Charts in the British Hit Albums Book, in June. Virgin have the final say on this.

If they go into the Book, the Sales, (rounded), of each Album, will be shown.

6) And, rather than a Top 100, (Top 110), that we got in November 2006, the 3 new Lists contain 145 Albums between them.

Spirit total sales : 2,765,408

VERY impressive.

It's great what an AMAZING lead single can do for an album - As well as a delux version too!

Spirit total sales : 2,765,408

Looks about right - can you confirm where is this sourced from Grazystar? :)
