August 23, 200915 yr West End Girls - 8/10 - good but they have better material than this...would qualify and finish bottom ten in the final Baby Alice - 8.5/10 - really like this on first listen but it sounds a bit dated and would suffer ultimatey...might qualify and would finish bottom ten in the final/could DNQ Emmy Rossum - 8.5/10 - really different, reminds me of an Imogen Heap and would appeal to some of the indie and pop voters I think, your best choice here...too hard to predict though, could literally go anywhere but I do reckon it would qualify Emmalyn Estrada - 7/10 - nothing special but quite good nonetheless...would almost certainly DNQ though, people wouldn't flock to vote for it Krezip - 7/10 - nice, but too plain...would DNQ I think you have two potential qualifiers here, West End Girls and Emmy Rossum, the latter being my favourite, hope this helps :D
August 23, 200915 yr Krezip – Go To Sleep 6/10 Nice song but most likely wouldn't get any points from me. Baby Alice – Hurricane 6/10 Same as above. West End Girls – A Little Black Dress 5.5/10 Same here as well, only even more unlikely to get points from me. :D Emmy Rossum – Slow Me Down 4/10 A bit boring. Emmalyn Estrada – Get Down 3/10 Didn't like this.
August 23, 200915 yr I'm not gonna rate all of them because I can't listen to them right now, but I can rate the ones that I already know. 8/10-West End Girls – A Little Black Dress 7.5/10-Emmy Rossum – Slow Me Down 6/10-Baby Alice – Hurricane
August 28, 200915 yr Author I want to thank everyone who has given their opinions to Greenfrozes' song choices! :cheer: Thank you! :D *grateful* In the beginning, Greenfroze did wanted to send all of them, but mostly "A little black dress", "Go to sleep" and "Slow me down". I really love all of them, and thats an essential element in the choosing of a song (yes, I have been taught well :) ) So, Greenfroze presents a bit: Emmy Rossum - Slow me down ce_h-0ToQCM I really like this song :) - it's a bit different, but others still seem to like it - so I feel this is my best choice, and also a good representative for Greenfrozes' concept. November 8, 200915 yr Author Greenfroze is finally writing in The national thread again! :D So, to sum up since last time we met: * Emmy Rossum didn't make the final of XX :( - And it also didn't manage to make the final of The Rejects contest. All of Greenfroze was of course a bit baffled by this, but it seemed understandable as there were some strong entries overall in that contest that also didn't make the final. Emmy Rossums' DNQ is therefore legitimate. But the song is always being remembered as the most peaceful song in Greenfrozes' history. ** My song of choice for XXI, was Carmen and Camille - with "Shine 4 U" :D - which is my second proudest entry after Donkeyboy. This is because I found them all on my own - after days of constant searching for a perfect entry to send to XXI. I found it, and everyone in Greenfroze felt this bubble gum power package rushing through their veins! The peace was over - and the dawn of a new shining freakin'-dancing era had started!! Carmen and Camille made it to the strong final of XXI - where the song accomplished 19th place, with 91 points! That's actually quite alright! :D *** DONKEYBOY with "AMBITIONS" - MADE IT TO THE SEMI FINAL OF 'THE BEST OF'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *100% extraordinary awesome* **** And now.. the time has come to choose an entry for the 22nd edition of the Buzzjack song contest.. I have been searching far and wide, and for an incredibly long time. My results has definitely paid off well - as I now have a good handful of 100% good choices to send.. but.. my song of choice for XXII is a song that has been growing on me since I first heard it for over a month ago - and the song has never lost it touch, as I have come to love it even more, and more, and more.. I know the band is known in BJSC, and I know that their previuos song has been.. successful.. But the most important reasons for this choice is still clear: - Many of us within BJSC would still not have heard the song, and therefore it needs to be sent and shared.. - I am afraid that if I do not send it, others could eventually be considering it, and therefore I want to be the one representing it.. - I love it, I LOVE it, I LOVE IT  The band is Donkeyboy The song is "Sometimes" And just as "Ambitions" - 100% epic  Hopefully my passion for this song - and now as my dedicated song choice for XXII - is to be respected. :) Edited November 8, 200915 yr by Freeze

November 8, 200915 yr The only big regret I am experiencing is that i didn't send Ambitions to XVIII instead of Loba :(
November 17, 200915 yr Author In BJSC XXI, Greenfroze actually started a new campaign called 100% - Which symbolizes the power in all of the songs to be sent by the nation of Greenfroze in the future. This will eventually lead to victory. GREENFROZE PRESENTS: The dedicated song choice, and the representative of Greenfroze in BJSC XXII Donkeyboy - Sometimes 68Nem832scY Edited November 22, 200915 yr by Freeze
November 17, 200915 yr 6.0/10 Quite nice but pretty boring compared to „Ambitions“. It would be great if you could comment on some of my potential entries here as well. ;)
November 17, 200915 yr Author 6.0/10 Quite nice but pretty boring compared to „Ambitions“. It would be great if you could comment on some of my potential entries here as well. ;) It will definitely grow on you Zech :D :P Remember giving Ambitions only 6 in the first place, then 12 in "The best of"..? Sure, I'll take a look when I can ;) Edited November 17, 200915 yr by Freeze
November 18, 200915 yr It will definitely grow on you Zech :D :P Remember giving Ambitions only 6 in the first place, then 12 in "The best of"..? Sure, I'll take a look when I can ;) Hehe. :D I know, only the song should be rated, but with "Ambition", the awesome video definately helped it as well. ;)
November 18, 200915 yr Rather uninspired but I prefer it to Ambitions tbh. And it's not like I've been ultra inspired as of late either.
November 18, 200915 yr Author Rather uninspired but I prefer it to Ambitions tbh. And it's not like I've been ultra inspired as of late either. I know. But I intend to go with something ultra inspired next time. For sure. Glad you liked it more then Ambitions at least :) Well I'd say you're allowed to send at least one or two of those non-ultra-inspired songs given your record of "inspiration" ;)
November 18, 200915 yr I like this, tbh it's not as good as Ambitions, but it could still pick up a few from me :kink: Please return the favour
November 29, 200915 yr Tina Parol 100% in Greenfroze Tina Parol today arrived in Greenfroze to kick off her 'Who's Got My Money Now?' tour. The first date of a tour is always an important one but Tina felt Greenfroze would be the perfect place to start being just a short journey from her current residence in the Kingdom of Shadow. She also wanted to support the 100% campaign as she too feels the power of Greenfroze's BJSC entries; 'Aly and AJ to Carmin and Camille, Ambitions to Sometimes, Greenfroze are starting to get quite a reputation for sending some great songs to this contest and I thought it'd be cool to support that'. Whilst in the country, Tina promoted her BJSC XXII entry 'Who's Got Your Money?' n2iDGI5WeFQ
November 30, 200915 yr Author Wow, what an honour! :magic: (And look!) THE ETERNAL GIFT? Just after the amazing concert featuring Tina Parol, the king of Greenfroze came over to her and presented her a special medalion. The medalion is made of emerald, and ingraved with Tina Parol on the front - and Kingdom of Shadow on the backside. The King announces: "According to a legend, these medalions has a secret and mysterious power - said to give whoever who wears one - eternal youth!" The medalion is also beautiful to watch, so Tina Parol may choose between eternal youth and decorations for her home. The gift was given as a token of gratitude for her perfomance in Greenfroze and as a symbol of appreciation to the peaceful alliance between the two countries.
