O.M.F.G. XVI. HERE I GO.

I have JUST found the perfect entry for XVI! Listening to it for the first time... but anyway it tops my chart tomorrow. (Poor Alexander). The song is just INCREDIBLE!

how has Pixie got a reputation of being 'vile' and 'evil' What are these judgements based on, her music or something else, I'm yet to see/hear her in an interview

Her music is vile. LOL I know nothing about her. Not like I'd want to though, she comes across very bland in her songs. :/ Who knows thoooughh.

To be honest I think Pixie Lott's RedOne produced material is not that special and inferior to a lot of their other productions with other artists.

However as her debut single is produced by The Bird & The Bee's Greg Kurstin (Lily Allen, Ladyhawke, Kylie Minogue, Sia, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Peaches, All Saints, & the forthcoming Little Boots album); I think it is a rather classy tuneage as it is more retropop and less urban-lite.

.... and it is physically released on my birthday (June 8th - the same day as Little Boots debut album "Hands"). Hence why I've laid claim to it now for BJSC XVI. Personally I care less whether it is a potential UK#1 or a potential UK#76+; I've selected that song now as I do not want to lose out like I did with Little Boots for BJSC XV to Inner Massivia. Even though I nominated her first in the BJSC XV nomination thread with the full intention of entering New In Town; it was pointed out that Inner Massivia had already had nominated her for BJSC XV within their national thread. Hence I did the honourable thing and withdrew her as my nomination.

So I'm making damn sure I'm not going to have the same thing happen this time with an artist & song I want to use.

Aww low blow rich! Low blow!

I personally love Pixie, Here We Go Again is pretty decent likes, But Mama Do isn't too shabby.

That'll be since B&G then??? I remember having a convo about the anticipation of that album. I shall still be buying it :kink: :heehee:

indeed, I'll be first in the queue for it...Ben and Tom won't be joining me though I don't think  she was one of my favourite BJSC related discoveries of last year via the wonders of MySpace and it's nice to see other people paying her more attention now she's getting proper media support :heehee:

My best discovery was RBW and Artist X.

holy $h!t, it's 6am, and dawn has like fully broken

Time to find that eyemask thingy i stole from Qantas and get some sleep me thinks....

can't wait to see it :o don't underwhelm me :kink:

I own XVI now :kink:

Can't wait for that Pavel, sounds amazing!

I have found a song for XVI, I love it, *Ben* loves it, but I'm a bit wary of sending it because:

1) Its about five years old

2) Its sung by a guy

3) Theres barely a hint of synth in it

I think it will depend on how Nexx do...
