Damon confirms fourth Bourne movie

world entertainment news WENN

Damon and director Paul Greengrass will be developing an original script for the popular series' fourth outing - as the films have dramatised all of Robert Ludlum's best-selling novels.

Yet both are currently held up on other projects - and Damon remains cautious about reprising his physically intense role as superspy Jason Bourne.

He tells Parade magazine, "We're working on it. This time it would be from an original script rather than a book by Robert Ludlum, but the director Paul Greengrass is busy and I am too, so we'll see what happens.

"When I did the first movie I was 29 years old. I am 37 now. After a tough fighting scene, the next day you wake up and feel your body more. That's just the way it is."

glad to know that there is another Bourne movie!!! the action there is really great, i've watched the previous 3 bourne movies..

but they have ran of Ludlum books

well thats another book series killed by movie makers by creating their own stories.

Hmmm not sure how i feel about this... Films that have been based on a book that continue after they have nothing to draw on generally dont do too well.. And Bourne really deserves better... :(

I don't think they've ran out of books? It's just isn't he like 60 in some of the books?

I am in two minds about this though. I love the Bourne films, and the 3rd one was such a good film seriously. But I thought the ending was perfect to the franchise and really summed up Bourne to the tee. As long as the scripts good...

lol i failed :(

it seems there is more but not wrote by Ludlum.

There are 2 other Bourne Books written by Eric Van Lustbader, they are the Bourne Legacy and The Bourne Betrayal

There are also 2 more books to be released titled The Bourne Sanction, The Bourne Deception

But they do not have permission for these books to be screened. The first 2 books by Van Lustbader are not related to the first 3 first films, they are not part of the film triolgy
