April 5, 200916 yr The FIA really are a bunch of morons. Told that if they're to start the Malaysian GP later start at 4pm and not 5pm because a 5pm rain in a 5pm start WILL make the race red flagged. So they start it at 5pm and it gets red flagged... :manson: 5pm is a very common rain time for the area. Hell, if it hasn't been raining all day Brisbane gets rain at 5pm and i'm a lot further south from Malaysia.

April 5, 200916 yr It looks like they may come out but it will be just for 12 laps all behind the safety car so the top 8 can get full points and not half...
April 5, 200916 yr  If they restart i want full racing, I am not gonna be chuffed with them parading around behind a safety car giving that cheating c**t more points. IMO, it's all or nothing. I want to see Hamilton hit a wall, because he's a cock, and for what he did to Jarno he sure as hell deserves it. I want to know where Piquet is going to build his sandcastle this week and i would quite like to see Alonso in those points.
April 5, 200916 yr 1139: Looks like we will go again. Amazing. All the drivers from third downwards will start behind the safety car to unlap themselves before Jenson Button and Timo Glock join. But how will they do all that within the two-hour time limit? I'm going to eat a muffin, see if that makes thing look a little clearer. From the BBC website. -_- the only way i can 'watch' the GP *edit* Kimi is out. 1145: The race might restart, but Kimi Raikkonen doesn't look he will be. The not-so-flying Finn is wearing shorts and flip-flops as he munches on an ice-cream. He was lying a miserable 14th when the race stopped. Ferrari say he hasn't definitely retired but Kers has failed on the car. once more from the Beeb *edit - again* 1148: Jarno Trulli climbs back into his car - but still, there has been no 10-minute warning so if it is going to start, there will be precisely two minutes until the two-hour time limit is up. I smell a farce.1151: The BBC's television team reckon this race has run, with less than 10 minutes remaining until the two-hour time limit. Still no official word, but it looks like Jenson Button will soon be celebrating his second win of the season. Remarkable. One is not amused.

April 5, 200916 yr 1152: JENSON BUTTON WINS MALAYSIAN GRAND PRIX. Race is over. What a $h!t winner, in an illegal car, in a race ruined by arseholes. -_- F1 is a shadow of it's former self

Where the hell were they for 2003 Brazil???    Nah it was the right decision mate, it wasn't the rain as such, well it was it was the big thing that it was dark, they only started the race at 5pm Malaysian time so can't compare with Brazil as that was in daylight at 2pm their time
April 5, 200916 yr Also on BBC on the way back to the pits after the race was red flagged Hamilton, Glock and Massa all spun and this was AFTER the red flag, it was undriveable
April 5, 200916 yr Top 8 appears to have changed to: Button (5) Heidfeld (4) Glock (3) Trulli (2.5) Barrichello (2) Webber (1.5) Hamilton (1) Rosberg (0.5)
April 5, 200916 yr Also on BBC on the way back to the pits after the race was red flagged Hamilton, Glock and Massa all spun and this was AFTER the red flag, it was undriveable Brazil had rivers and was red flagged after Alonso crashed on the wreckage of Webber's car. I can't say much about Sepang's condition's because Channel 10 won't let me see the race until 11pm
April 5, 200916 yr Brazil had rivers and was red flagged after Alonso crashed on the wreckage of Webber's car. I can't say much about Sepang's condition's because Channel 10 won't let me see the race until 11pm The river was just in one part of the circuit an area where there was draining work going on, that is where Schumi and others spun too but most of the circuit was ok Even the best driver in the wet Sebastian Vettel spun off today The other big problem was lightning, the BBC commentary box was struck by lightning as was a grandstand, a driver could have been struck by lightning, calling the race off was the right thing to do

Nope can FIA have the final result as they finish? Answer: Don't be stupid this is the WWE on wheels F1. Final Result* After 31 of 56 laps Position Country Driver Team 1 Great Britain J Button Brawn 2 Germany N Heidfeld BMW Sauber 3 Germany T Glock Toyota 4 Italy J Trulli Toyota 5 Brazil R Barrichello Brawn 6 Australia M Webber Red Bull 7 Great Britain L Hamilton McLaren 8 Germany N Rosberg Williams 9 Brazil F Massa Ferrari 10 France S Bourdais Toro Rosso 11 Spain F Alonso Renault 12 Japan K Nakajima Williams 13 Brazil N Piquet Jr. Renault 14 Finland K Raikkonen Ferrari 15 Germany A Sutil Force India 16 Germany S Vettel (ret.) However a courtroom on April 14th could rule Brawn; Toyota & Williams diffuser illegal and change the results again for the first two GP's of 2009 unless the stewards/FIA don't change them before hand.

I want to know where Piquet is going to build his sandcastle this week and i would quite like to see Alonso in those points. I think that's a bit harsh - I would never wish a crash on anyone, as people could get hurt. It was the right decision not to restart the race, Jenson deserves his 5 points today after he charged back from fourth with a beautfiul move on Alonso and some storming laps to prove BGP are in a completely different league to the rest. Glock gambled well to snatch third, Nick I think was lucky to have kept second but well done to him too. I'm sure RedBull will be gutted they once again don't come away with more points along with Rosberg too but there's always Shanghai!
