The next contest is so screaming to be the turning point of BJSC. Super-modern-era. With all these MF-issues, increasing number of participants... :(

Well I don't plan on turning people away, so if we have to go to three semis, so be it. D: I can definitely see where you're coming from though.

 

I should be the host less often, each time I host something BIG ends up happening. Luckily, I don't see that many countries left to confirm.

The most I'd be willing to allow before we go into three semis is 53 - that's you, Rich and Nick autoqualifying with 2 semis of 25 each and a final of 29 ^_^

I guess that's just about doable. It's just odd considering that 24 was the usual size for a FINAL before. :mellow: I don't know if I like BJSC being this big...

Id rather have 3 semis and 24 songs in final, than 2 big semis and one big grande final.

Well, we've had a final of 29 songs before - I definitely wouldn't want a final of more than 30 songs. It would be ridiculous cutting out 2/3s of the songs for voting...

 

And Addy, I don't see us ever going back to as few as 24 songs ;)

Caroline Thérese af Ugglas Liljedahl (born 7 April 1972) is a Swedish singer, artist and chorister.[1]Af Ugglas participated in Melodifestivalen 2007 with "Tror på dig", written by herself along with Heinz Liljedahl and Mattias Torell. I think 24-28 is optimal, and 29 just about doable...if it goes to more than 53 we have no other choice but to go for three semis though.

Oh gosh, I didn't think about that. I usually listen to the other semi once, out of interest, but I'm gonna have to give every song at least some attention this month.

29 is a bit big perhaps but I feel inclined to have a 29 song final if we DO top 50, just so we don't practically chuck out almost the same amount of songs that succeed. I didn't think it would be possible, but I think the contest has got too big for it's boots.
