March 28, 200916 yr Author When i started my Accounting degree we were told that there is no shortage of finance jobs available. Not any more there ain't! To be honest i don't think we'll be very far out of this mess by the time i graduate in 2011 if at all given our current government and the opposition. We're looking at the current recession and the after-effects lasting about five years.... A conservative estimate if you ask me.... We're over 900 billion in debt, thanks to the banks, the city and Broon's "expert" handling of the economy..... The debt will take a generation to pay back, hope none of you were expecting a comfortable and relatively well off old age, aint gonna happen now.... And for all these idiots out there who bum Broon and say stuff like "well, there was growth for 10 years....".... Yeah, okay, and the sodding supposedly "unsinkable" Titanic was sailing along perfectly fine.....And then it hit a fukkin' iceberg and sank to the bottom of the Atlantic ocean...... People dont remember the fact that the Titanic was making good sailing time, or the fact that it was the most impressive vessel of its type ever made, they remember it hitting the iceberg and sinking..... So is the same for Broon's "achievements", they mean BUGGER ALL in today's economic reality.......
March 30, 200916 yr $1800billion and what do they have to show for it? a couple of stakes in banks and some nice new furniture for their 97th home? f***ing joke. the government of the uk are beyond incompetence. IMO unless there is a radical shift and people like Lid Dem and god forbid the SNP get serious numbers of seats then we will never escape the cycle we are in. Labour doesn't work. Conservatives don't work Maybe it's time for a change? I for one will be jumping ship as soon as i can afford to after my degree.

Conservatives don't work Maybe it's time for a change? Agreed.... I dont particulary like the SNP, but I can honestly see them doing what Labour did to the extremely unpopular Tories in '97.... If Gordon Broon keeps his own seat, it'll be a miracle... When I was up in Scotland over the New Year, the sense of absolute hatred of Gordon Brown and Nu Labor was unbelievable, if anything, stronger than the hatred that Londoners feel for Broon and Nu Labor..... People in Scotland view him as a "traitor"....
March 30, 200916 yr i am not a supporter of the SNP. The only thing i agreed with them doing was scarping the Graduate Endowment making University tuition completely free for Scottish/EU (but not UK) students studying in Scotland. Thats £3000 i have saved instantly or $6000 towards my new life ^_^ Labour keeping their Glenrothes seat, which shocked me to hell. I thought the ScumNP were a shoe in for it given what i had experienced living in Fife since i was 3months old, but i got my compatriots entirely wrong. They really are stupider than they look. And they look bloody moronic at best.. I too would bet that Brown would lose his seat in Kirkcaldy. I would bet on Labour loosing the Glenrothes seat too. Lib Dems and SNP are those who would be likely to take it although given how unpopular Fife council currently are i'd say Lib Dem. The Torries aren't welcome in Fife after the mining things and Thatcher in general, except in the area i live. (Cupar/St Andrews) But back on point, Labour are dead and gone in NE Fife and Dunfermline & W Fife it won't be long before the last to regions vote them out. The council has gone from Labour led with Lib Dem help to a SNP led council. (Although i do think it'll become Lib Dem at the next election, the SNP council aren't proving to be very popular, in fact the Labour led council was far more popular.)
