June 15, 200916 yr it was a pretty dire end to the series tbf. i will miss seeing Hannah, hopefully she gets another part in something else. Doctor Who maybe?
June 15, 200916 yr Shame. The series really improved towards the last few episodes (except the finale which was a bit hit and miss)
September 29, 200915 yr Author ITV has changed it's mind :o S4 & S5 confirmed! ITV today announces that hit drama Primeval will return to UK television screens for two new series from 2011, thanks to a ground-breaking deal between ITV, multichannel broadcaster, UKTV, and producers Impossible Pictures. The new series will be showrun once again by Adrian Hodges, and will feature the return of stars from the previous series, including Hannah Spearritt, Andrew Lee Potts and Jason Flemyng, alongside the acclaimed special effects created by the award-winning team at Framestore CFC. The premieres of Series 4 and series 5 of Primeval will be split between ITV1 and UKTV’s new entertainment pay TV channel, Watch. ITV1 will be the first to broadcast series 4 (in early 2011), while Watch will premiere series 5 later that year. ITV1 will then broadcast season 5.
September 29, 200915 yr Excellent, but I didn't care much of it after all the cast changes, I want Carter back somehow, maybe he was killed in a different time reality lol
September 29, 200915 yr Brilliant news imo. Fundamentally it was a great show, just lost it a bit in series three but re-gaining a bit in those last few episodes. Along with Hannah, Andrew and Jason, Ben Miller is also coming back. No word on Laila yet, who I really grew to like eventually.
September 30, 200915 yr There was an interview on Digital Spy with the producer or summat, who stated all the cast are coming back.
September 30, 200915 yr Whilst it was no Doctor Who, it was far better than the BBC's 21st century revival of Robin Hood = Perhaps the worst series on Saturday night throughout this decade that cost 2/3rds as much to make as an episode of Doctor Who.
October 1, 200915 yr It should ONLY be brought back if it can actually regain the standards and quirkiness of the first two seasons, but I really dont see how it can.... Killing off Cutter was just a MASSIVE mistake, as was getting rid of Jenny.... When Cutter died, my interest in the show pretty much died with him tbh.... Also the fact that series 3 was just a blatant "try-hard" to be like American shows, and well, that just didn't work for me... Primeval is NOT "Fringe" or "Lost", and simply should not even attempt to be so.... You know, maybe it should just do a "Dallas" and have Abby or Connor wake up from a dream in the first episode of series four......

I gave up on it in series 3 because it tried to be too Americanised for my liking.
