I'd hate to see it kill the book. Spike Jonze has directed some fabulous movies though, Adaptation being my personal favorite. I have high hopes. Will be interesting to see how they fit this all into a movie. Tis being scored by Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
July 19, 200916 yr I agree the trailer does look amazing. The effects look lush  I praise One Tree Hill for recommending this book to me LOL. I believe this book is very big for americans? I dont think its used that much over here...
August 29, 200915 yr I saw this trailer while watching the latest Harry Potter I liked it a lot! Loved the soundtrack haha
September 26, 200915 yr I love this book, and read it regularly to my class of 4 year olds. Maurice Sendak wrote this book 46 years ago and it has been well loved book, don't see how a film could take away from that. ......but fail to see how Max's mischief can be stretched into a film, and still get him back before his supper gets cold!
October 20, 200915 yr Author Stunning. I cried. Not for kids, but for adults/older teens reflecting on childhood. Still incredibly beautiful, powerful, and moving.
October 23, 200915 yr The soundtrack is incredible (and soundtracks can MAKE films/tv i.e. Skins), and the film looks that way too ^_^
October 23, 200915 yr Get this guys, the poster above me didnt know who Spike Jonze was and seemed uninterested in his genius.
October 24, 200915 yr Get this guys, the poster above me didnt know who Spike Jonze was and seemed uninterested in his genius. SHUSH. That's about 24 hours out of date. And since i've been looking at this film then obviously i DO now.
