I’ve normalised each chart as if they had a 100% market share using average sales data from 2009’s first quarter and then combined them using their market share. So there is considerably more of a bias towards iTunes. :smoke:

MLWSWY is No11 on amazon and amazon has a smaller market share...

Thanks Ethan for your work, it could be interesting but I don't think this is really accurate, because we know roughly the shares and song popularities on itunes but not the same on amazon, so some songs can be very close to your estimates and some can be way off.

I'm not sure you've understood the method. I've used averages from the weekly sales at No1, No2, No3, ect down to No200. The shares I've used are market shares for proportion not pop bars! Clearly there are limitations but I think it gives a good indication overall.
