Posted April 17, 200916 yr Tennant: 'We'll never work with Kylie' Thursday, March 19 2009, 13:32 GMT I found this on buzzjack i know its a a few weeks old but i never read this before, By David Balls, Entertainment Reporter Rex Features Pet Shop Boys star Neil Tennant has vowed never to work with Kylie Minogue after she snubbed the duo. The singer revealed that he offered to write Minogue a song for her last album X in 2007 but she ignored his gesture. "We never heard anything back. I think every songwriter in London wrote songs for Kylie's last album," he told the BBC. "When we were on tour, we had two male backing singers and both had submitted songs for Kylie's album as well. They never heard anything either. "We won't be doing it again," Chris Lowe added. Pet Shop Boys release their new album Yes on March 23. WHat do you think of this??
April 17, 200916 yr Author I think there is alot of truth in this stroy going by the report id say it was a case of a forgotten reply rather than deliberate as i remember a few yaers back neil saying kylie was one of the most down to earth people he had ever met he said she had no aires or graces about her what so ever that was around the time they recorded the brilliant in denial together
April 23, 200916 yr I'm not surprised he's pissed at Kylie. I think Parlarphone wanted them to with Kylie, but then Kylie went out to find the producers herself and totally skipped pass The Pet Shop Boys and straight to Calvin Harris. It's the same for Hard Candy, but it was Warner Brothers that stopped them from producing it for her... The Divas don't seem to like them :(
April 23, 200916 yr They were probably submitted to EMI but never found their way to Kylie. Surely anything by PSB would be an improvement on some of the lame ducks on her last album?
April 23, 200916 yr Author its hard to know what the material may have sounded like but honestly i cudnt see kylie just by passing them for no reason and i agree kylie probably never knew about it herself
