Simple enough, the first phase of the album or the second. I vote 'X' - I like every song from that section - whereas I couldn't hum most of 'Y'.

I voted X as well. The beginning of the album has some great tracks on there like "Talk", "What If" and "Fix You".

Hmmm, I cant see this album as 2 different parts. There is no point on dividing it in 2 parts, it´s very homogenic.

I feel doubtful about listing my favourite tracks off it, as many of the songs have special meaning to me and remind me of a certain phase of my life... I think I´ll still listen to this cd in 2030. The only track I can´t seem to like is "Fix You", for me it´s very boring and the lyrics are so cliche... The rest is wonderful.

Its refreshing to see someone else not so fond of Fix You, like me. I do think its two parts though, really, I have listened to it alot over the past year!

I personally think it was a great idea by the album being divided into X and Y.

Just to clarify, Coldplay (or whoever designed the cover art) divided the album into two parts, not me.

It does feel like a whole album but I feel that the songs on 'X' complement each other very well - there is the futuristic aspect to it.

Whereas 'Y' is slightly more traditional. Folk-y almost.

Though I doubt I'd have noticed the album was divided in that way if it didn't say so on the back.

It was download only release here, and therefore NCQ.

looks like i willl have to buy it from them aussie hmv site

So your after the full CD released instead of the download  ?

ya im not the biggest fan of downloads i like to have the phyisiacl release anyday

Depends on downloads. If I were in your positon i'd just download "the hardest part" because its quicker and easier, althoug i'd rather have the physical rlease of an album as it can become very furstrating when you've bought albums and you itunes gets wiped  .

i have the album but i really dont do downloads unless its a song that i only kinda like,,for bands/acts i support i but everything on cd its nicer in the collection

I can see where your coming from as physical CD's do look a lot better on display as you get all the artwork etc, but I just can't be bothereed to buy a physical release of a single anymore unless its a band that I really really like and there would probably only be three bands that i'd buy physical CD singles of.

One of them Coldplay?
