May 18, 200916 yr Author Was always going to happen. Its ratings were ABYSMAL. What do they expect on a FRIDAY NIGHT  Luckily for Whedon he has such a great fanbase and Dollhouse got renewed :D Apparently its the first series to get renewed on such low ratings (last episode had less than 3m...)
May 18, 200916 yr I never got why Friday and Saturday nights were so big on UK TV, and nothing on US TV. Anyone? :unusre:
May 19, 200916 yr What do they expect on a FRIDAY NIGHT  Luckily for Whedon he has such a great fanbase and Dollhouse got renewed :D Apparently its the first series to get renewed on such low ratings (last episode had less than 3m...) To be fair it was doing shockingly bad before in its old timeslot before it was moved. The weekends are only bad for scripted shows really. Reality shows do quite well on the weekends I think, but with scripted shows if you miss one episode that's it - its a bit hard to get back into the show, not the case with reality TV.
May 19, 200916 yr Samantha Who ISN'T being renewed. :( I'm extremely gutted. Are you f***ing kidding me?!?!?! NOOOOOOOO! I can't believe it. the show wasn't even doing that bad compared to other crap shows on ABC right now. -_- Sooo not fair. That's what happens when you move it to a night when there are no other good lead ins (In The Motherhood seriously?!). Ugh, this really pisses me off... it at least deserved another chance... I'm gonna go cry now. Now that makes two shows... I was pretty bummed Terminator got the axe as well. Edited May 19, 200916 yr by Unusual Me
May 19, 200916 yr Samantha Who ISN'T being renewed. :( I'm extremely gutted. WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!! Awww f***. Samantha Who is epic.
May 28, 200916 yr Absolutely DISGUSTED that Terminator isn't being renewed... What's with these fukkin' stupid Americans....? Couldn't handle the fact that T-SCC was actually handling the concept with a bit more depth and intelligence than just making another stupid 'action movie' like T3 or Salvation; I mean, just how does it compute with all these so-called "Terminator fans" out there who clearly didn't get behind the show.....? "Oh, I dont like it cos Arnie's not in it..." HE'S A BLOODY PENSIONER AND IS A BIT BUSY RUNNING THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.... GET OVER IT YOU STUPID PRICKS!!!!!!! <_< And, the arsewits at FOX kill another series YET AGAIN with stupid scheduling..... I sometimes wonder just what the fukk the point is in watching TV, it seems to me that you get your interest piqued, you want to see how things eventually turn out with the stories and the characters, and these tw@ts at the C/untworks just pull the rug from under you without so much as a "by your leave"..... Did they even wait to see how many folks might've bought the DVD box-set....? Angry?? YOU FUKKIN' BETTER BELIEVE IT.....
May 28, 200916 yr Scrubs also renewed for a 9th season. GAWD, if any show has gone totally off the boil from when it started it's this one..... And ANOTHER series of the fukkin' Simpsons... Jesus, that dead horse was flogged long ago... Americans are officially IDIOTS.....
May 28, 200916 yr I never loved T:SCC that much, so I'm not too gutted. I just didn't find it that exciting. But actually ... what are Fox going to show now? American Idol and The Simpsons? And the dance show ... oh dear. Mostly gutted about Samantha Who :( tragic, one of the smartest comedies around, gone.
May 28, 200916 yr I never loved T:SCC that much, so I'm not too gutted. I just didn't find it that exciting. Well, it was considerably better than T3, and from all accounts the new Terminator film sucks big dogs cocks as well..... So, the question has to be asked, why the hell the so-called "fans" weren't behind the show...? Did they just not like the fact that it concentrated more on Sarah and her relationship with John....? A bit too much like, oh, I dunno, serious drama for all the Arnie nerds out there....?
May 28, 200916 yr Terminator got absolutely SHOCKING ratings this year. Its ratings fell so much from when it premiered last year. It then got moved to the Friday slot cos its ratings were so shockingly bad (after having a good timeslot before). It got killed in the demographic ratings, DVR ratings and everything. They're replacing it with Human Target (or that's their aim imo) and Fringe is has now become their big Sci-Fi show (has got the 9pm timeslot (aka the golden timeslot) on Thursdays).
May 28, 200916 yr I didn't even see T3, if I'm honest, Scott. Rooney is right, though ... I wouldn't have renewed T:SCC if I was them either. Whatever the reason, it just wasn't performing well enough.
