May 2, 200916 yr Ashton thinks it's epic, but given our recent run that doesn't mean as much as it used to. -_- Rontvia and Numayania backed it in the Ashton NF Yes, it's awesome  Though I've only listened to about five of the other entries TBH. Not hearing much Serebro love BTW

May 2, 200916 yr Country: Spizil Artist: The Corrs Song: Summer Sunshine Youtube: Eeekness for Lateness I was worrying a bit that you are not going to participate. Edited May 2, 200916 yr by FMbassador11
May 2, 200916 yr I think Aaron is so desperate to keep his 100% qualification up, that he's worrying about not qualifying.
May 2, 200916 yr I think Aaron is so desperate to keep his 100% qualification up, that he's worrying about not qualifying. it's so much easier and more refreshing to choose entries as soon as you've DNQ'd once (or twice :heehee:) I look back and can't believe I cared so much about qualifying at one point to the extent that I was compromising the songs that I was sending, considering songs that I didn't love as much but with wider appeal, over songs that I loved the most with narrower appeal Seeing as I thought that Headhunted and in particular Miss Blue would do quite well as they were instantly catchy and memorable and both flopped, and then songs that I thought would have no chance such as Not A Love Song, went on and won the contest, I don't think its as easy to guage other people's tastes as I thought it once was so now I just go with the song I love the most, whether or not it's destined to be a winner or sink to the bottom of the semi final
May 2, 200916 yr I don't think anyone expected Not A Love Song to win! I am a bit cautious myself, 3/3 entries have qualified and came Top 10 so far, so I have self pressure to keep it all up.

I am a bit cautious myself, 3/3 entries have qualified and came Top 10 so far, so I have self pressure to keep it all up. of course it's always nice to do well, but it's just as nice to know that you've sent a song that you love, which you've introduced maybe 2 or 3 new people to, even if it DNQ's or flops in the final...even my notorious and probably most forgotten entry, Thermostatic's Driving, got a few 8's I think which was much appreciated  I eventually found DNQ'ing quite funny, because you can sit back and watch the final relaxed, and of course your song qualifies to the elusive 'Rejects' competition :w00t:

I know it is fairly cheap, but it is a song that I really really love, and it's not in the charts, so it only felt natural for me to send something I love.

I know it is fairly cheap, but it is a song that I really really love, and it's not in the charts, so it only felt natural for me to send something I love. I'm sure there are loads of participants who haven't heard it yet! I only listened to it myself because of all of the hype surrounding it (and the amount of replies to the thread in the dance forum!)...it's cheap in the context of the contest only because quite a few people were fighting over it, but other than that, it's no cheaper than a lot of other songs confirmed, a single not due for release for quite a few months by an act who are hardly one of the Buzzjack darlings (like Lady GaGa, Kylie, Britney, Girls Aloud, Saturdays etc...) and obviously you must always send the song you love the most which is the reason I campaigned so heavily to get the NF rule removed, as at the time it was stopping me from sending Stay The Night/You're My World etc... from Melodifestivalen which were my favourite songs at the time, and unknown to most people

May 2, 200916 yr Such as? :o the other songs in the contest due to be released in the UK in the next three months I suppose... not that it particularly bothers me anymore, I've long stopped caring about whether songs are cheap or not as long as people are sending what they want to send
May 2, 200916 yr I've seen Never Forget You, Shark In The Water & Stone Cold Sober all on Music channels today, and Say It isn't even on music channels yet. So, it isn't that bad, surely? Edited May 2, 200916 yr by I Am A Robot
