They don't know music :kink:

j/k people!! -_-

Sounds like Kath strikes again.

it's about time, she had far too many great songs that went nowhere, Secrets springs to mind :snif:

I can't judge on that, perhaps that was pretty amazing. But, it's just like Kathaldazia have came from barely qualifying, to what seems like it could be 2 really high finishes.

I actually don't really aim for winning, rather introducing new multigenreal songs from the country I live in of course

My first entry was very alternative rock, Zebra and Giraffe. Then I went for urban pop girl group Jamali. Both flopped. I came suprisingly midfield in the final with a more contemporary entry - Louise Carver.

Followed by flops from the girly-punk of Stealing Love Jones and an instrumental ballad of Tasha Baxter.

I think Jody received hype, because it's more the style Buzzjack liked and was my first dance entry so I think I just got lucky and now with Nadine it fits into the Buzzjack style aswell but at the same time is totally different from my past entries which seems to be my success combination atm.

I'm honestly really suprised, half the time my entries are ignored but now with the recent contests Kathaldazia's getting back some criticism and some positive responses about our entries which in the past were pretty much non-existant, bar Jamali - which came as a huge upset.

I think with all the new countries that have joined, BJSC has now a greater audience which means greater appeal to a variety of song types than in the past. I mean this last contest - Keri Hilson finishes top ten with the likes of Nexx, Kim Leoni and Emiliana Torini - all completely different songs - and even the indie artists like Little Boots and Yeah Yeah Yeahs doing extremely well - displays a huge evolution in the contest which is kind of exciting and gives some of us room to experiment with what type of entry we want to send.

:o Thank you. Annie is a favorite of mine of course.

Really lots of top notch stuff this contest...tons of songs will be battling for my 12. It's nice to see.

I'm sure you would have preferred the remix :P

but yeh, loads of great stuff this month and it just keeps getting better. Here's hoping VV gets some more exposure with this single but I'm not sure if a slow song is going to be the right one to break her in to the top 40

LOJ is missing from the list (is this some kinda settle suggestion to change my song maybe to avoid zero points?) so I'll post my entry again.

don't change entry plz

I hope it can. :( It feels like a summer song. But I agree a slower song isn't exactly what people break out with...

And I actually like Antonio just as much as the Fred Falke remix. :o 50/50. And why enter a remix when the original is just as good? I love Annie.

Hopefully it'll do enough to maybe get a re-release of Crying Blood or atleast some moderate sales of the album on its release.

Likewise, my view is generally you can only make a good remix if there is something special about the original so I'd pick the original anyday.
