May 15, 200916 yr http://www.chesterchronicle.co.uk/entertai...59067-23633117/ Revealed - The top 20 songs of all time May 15 2009 By James Shepherd Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody has been named the greatest song of all time in a poll. The 1975 hit, which was written by Freddie Mercury, is made up of different sections which include opera, acapella singing and rock. It managed nine weeks at number one before being knocked off the top spot by Abba's Mamma Mia. Robbie Williams' classic Angels came second place in the poll of 5,000 music fans, by market research website www.onepoll.com. The ballad is one of the former Take That star's biggest hits after shifting more than 1.2 million copies in the UK since its 1997 release. A spokesman for www.onepoll.com poll, said: ''Bohemian Rhapsody may have been released more than 30 years ago, but it's obviously still a popular song. ''The mix of music types featured in it mean there is something for everyone to enjoy. ''Who would have thought putting opera in a rock song would have worked so well.'' Third place in the poll went to Bon Jovi power ballad Always, which featured on the band's greatest hits album Crossroads. Take That's 1995 classic Back for Good, was voted in at number four. As well as spending four weeks at the top of the UK charts, it reached number seven in the US Billboard charts making it one of the band's biggest hits. Rock song Bat Out of Hell, by Meat Loaf, was at number five followed by Michael Jackson's signature song Thriller. The singer's 1983 single Billie Jean came seventh while Simon and Garfunkel were at eight with Bridge Over Troubled Water. AC/DC's Back in Black came ninth while Snow Patrol's 2006 love song Chasing Cars completed the top ten. Other classic songs to feature in the poll include Abba's Dancing Queen, at 13, Wonderwall by Oasis, at number 15 and Gun's N Roses' Sweet Child O' Mine at 20. Top 50 songs of all time 1. May 18, 200916 yr The Sun has finally caught up with the Blog I see  http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...icle2435837.ece Mutt be love for Robbie Published: 19 May 2009 TIMES may be tough but ROBBIE WILLIAMS is still splashing the cash on some transatlantic puppy love. The minted former TAKE THAT star has been missing his beloved mutts Little Wallee and The Poops so much he has been flying back to his former LA home every couple of weeks just to visit them. Rob moved to a £7million pile in Wiltshire last year and he blogged: “We’ve come back to see the dogs. Because of quarantine they have to have jabs then wait six months before they’re deemed fit enough to join us in England.” Eleven hours each way in first class at £4,000 a pop — that’s serious doggie dedication.
