:unsure: Dunno....but, if I think I read right, she had more than one visit this week to the dentiast.... :unsure: :unsure:

My mouth is really sore so ain't staying. Just an update.

 

So I went to the dentist this morning. I spent over an hour in the chair, about 45 minutes of which was the dentist drilling to try to get the post out of said tooth. It had stuck apparently. Anyway, eventually she got the crown and post out, re-did all the root treatment (to try to stop further abscesses) and then cemented a post back in.

 

I had to wait a few hours before going back this afternoon and then I got a temporary crown inserted. I have to go back on Friday morning for the preparation work for a new crown.

 

But that isn't the bad part. Oh no.

 

The dentist took some more X-Rays and she isn't happy. She says the tooth is basically wrecked. There are bone splinters and weak points and she doesn't know what is actually holding it together. She says it's doubtful a new crown will even hold for any length of time. I think she wants to pull the thing and fit me for a false tooth :cry: . But I feel I should at least try the crown. If it falls out then fine, I lose the tooth.

 

She's waiting till Friday to see if the temporary crown is still holding ok.

 

So I really don't know what's going top happen :unsure: Guess I could spend about £300 having all this work done to try to save the tooth and then be back at square one in no time....

Anyway, I've taken some painkillers and I'm going to bed.

 

Should be here tomorrow night (dental pain permitting).

Eek if the tooth is that bad, and it's only the one, just get it removed, it'll cost about 1/10th of a crown.

 

And crowns only last a few years anyways.

Oh, went to visit Psycho Kitty at the vets today. She looks a poor wee forlorn soul. All shaved at the side and wearing her trumpet. And she purred when I stroked her. I was sniffling away. :cry:

 

Deffo need to bring her home on Friday. :(
