I've just realised watching this on my PC on BBC's Live transmission is about 10 seconds behind the TV coverage.

Alsou  I remember her from 2001. Dima's song is better than I remember it being a year ago.

2000 :) But you're right, I forgot how much I liked Believe.

Eek, my internet is already starting to die, and it's only the first song!
01. Lithuania: Good voice, Not particuarly memorable song though. 7/10

Lithuania: If you're going to go first, you need a very memorable song, sadly this isn't a memorable song. It will get easily forgotten by me, as it's quite boring. He looks a bit like the really gay one from High School Musical. Anyway, 5/10
Israel: Okay, not as bland, as I originally remembered. It's nowhere near as good as most of the songs in the contest though. A bit off-tune, I'm not sure which one, but it was the same person every time who sounded off-tune. Anyway, 7/10

Apologies for recycling my critiques from the Semi Finals:

Lithuania: Sasha Son - Love: This male vocallist starts over a piano motif, that gradually gets more louder as more instruments come in. This sounds quite nice in a sub Alicia Keys - Falling sort of way, but the tune is simply not memorable enough IMHO. Decent performance. 6

Israel: Noa; Mira Awad - There Must Be Another Way: This track is quite nice in a Gloria Estefan sort of way. I'm glad this made the final as the two girls harmonies work really well. But again the tune is not strong enough IMHO. 6.5

Israel: vocals aren't good I don't think :( One of them is completely off, but I couldn't work out which! I wasn't impressed in any way, whereas I was moreso in the Semi.

Patricia!

02. Israel: Shaky vocals, Not a really memorable song. Decent enough. 6.5/10
France: I have such mixed feeling about this ... sometimes I really enjoy it, and sometimes I think "will the song ever start?" The only thing I'm sure of is that it's pretty unlikely the UK will send this any points, it's far too sophisticated
03. France: Meh. Wasn't that brilliant. Good voice, but song was bland. 6/10
