And why February? How come it was such a short space of time between spin-offs this time but then such a long gap?

Why do that after Christmas day?

People have suggested Christmas spin-offs in the past though but I kind of like being able to enter Christmas songs in the real thing...regardless of whether they do well :P

because then we have 1st day of christmas, and 2nd day of christmas.. and so on :P

Very true but by the 3rd day or so people are sick to the back teeth of Christmas

If it were to be done, it would probably be better in the week leading up to Christmas or something.

If we did a christmas spinoff I'd enter this

Not available in my country apparently :(

What is it?

I find it hard to get enthused about xmas songs in June, for obvious reasons, but I'd probably send Delta Goodrem's cover of Happy Xmas (War Is Over) seeing as it's my favourite xmas song

Same here. Christmas is a million miles away.

I know what I'd send to a Christmas spin-off, or if it didn't happen, I'd send it to December's contest anyways. If I'm taking part then of course.

It's called Winter song sung by Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson :)

oh I have that on my iPod, it's very nice :D

We almost don't celebrate Christmas, well we actually do, it's a minor holiday, but on January 7th. So i'd not partake anyway. Nice idea though.
Surely this would end up being another crappy spin-off as everyone would know the songs, all of them would be all over the radio and TV plus there wouldn't be enough songs to go around (assuming people wouldn't be allowed to send different versions of the same song) :puke2:
I have some amazing unknown Christmas songs - I like the idea of this, although I don't know about the timing, with families etc...

We could always ban the songs that finished in the Top 20 of the annual Buzzjack favourite Xmas Song contest that I run, to make it a bit of a challenge.

By then you may well be listening to Fall Out Boys cover of Britain's answer to Spinal Tap attempt at a Christmas anthem that is more fitting now then it was then, especially with Simon Cowell ruining the Christmas #1 every year.

Bad News - Cashing In On Christmas (1988)

I just discovered the most amazing Swedish band, that could be my edgiest entry ever... but dare I send them? :drama:
No, I don't, but I have a backup plan now... :P
