25 Yohanna

Top 60

Alex Swings Oscar Sings

Top 70

Waldo's People

69 Urban Symphony

I hope yohanna can climb and doesn't fall out, would be good if she had abit of success! The norway song will remain top ten and i hope jade can climb as much as possible! I hope all of the ESC songs remain in the top 75.. won't happen though.. if US remains will it be the first ever song sang in estonian? to chart in the UK? Strange how waldo's people came last yet it is charting! But then again it's very 'english'... same goes for germany, good song, did very badly.. strange it's charting? Anybody know why half of the Eurovision songs aren't available to download? thus why the aren't charting? Turkey must be one of these considering the Uk gave her 12 points she technically should be charting the highest?

if alex charts higher then jade, thats really rubbing salt into the wound... forget the fact that many of you here like jade, what more proof do you need that generally its NOT a popular song.

:cheer: So pleased that the high ratings of the show in the UK are translating into download sales - Hopefully we will have 4 or 5 Top 75 ESC songs on Sunday :cheer: Vast improvement on last year when the UK entry on managed to get to #67 and the only other ESC related track to chart was Kalomoira with 'Secret Combination' which peaked at #71!

I think it's been evident throughout the Eurovision process, since February, that Europe likes that particular song more than the UK do ... that's no surprise

well tbh im traditional when it comes to eurovision...i dont listen to any other tracks before the night... apart from ours of course, so i dont know how others are being compared.

Alexander will hold onto a top 10 place in the uk although probably not as high as number 3.... this is still great as this will be the first eurovision winner to have a top 10 since since i dont know and im excluding katrina and the waves as it was a uk song but a non uk act getting a top 10 is brilliant as its years since that happened and its great for eurovision it will help show people you can have a hit with a winning song again

:nocheer: The buzz of ESC has worn off pretty quickly :nocheer: Today's midweeks show Alexander at #7, Jade at #21 and Yohanna at #35 - On a positive note its been a very long time since we have been looking at 3 ESC songs in the Top 40 charts though!

Why has alex been taken off ITunes? whats going on? These songs should all be encouraged to do well.. it's there only chance of a hit song! Hope Yohanna will stay top 40 can't see it happening tho

Alexander is back on I-Tunes and is in the Top 10 - It was removed for about 10 hours from all I-Tunes sites due to a dispute between record companies.

The copyright on the track is his, on iTunes at least, but it seems V2 have picked him up for international release. Whether that includes the UK I don't know...
international release? why don't they just wheel him out to promote it now and get a video on the TV channels and the song on the radio!!! If they leave it too long, it won't be worth promoting

True, TBH I think they are buggered for the UK now. Fairytale WILL be a top 10 hit (I have to believe it now, having lost all faith in Jade ) but i don't know if he'll ever have another one...

BTW there isn't an official video is there?

He'll probably only continue to be famous in Norway and possibly the rest of Scandinavia.
He should be top ten here I reckon. He's been at #9 on iTunes all day and I can't see that Tiny Dancer dirge overtaking him. I'd say he'll be #8 or #9 come Sunday, which I think we can count as a pretty big success for him over here! Very harsh on Jade, I just hope she can remain top 40 now tbh.
IF jade fails to chart very well.... i expect an apology of most of you lot who were insisting that it was a good record..... it ISNT.
I don't think you'll be getting one. It's not a commercial pop record, it's a song for a song contest. It's still going to be nearly 40 places higher than last year's entry, at worst...

i didnt really expect one...

some folk are quick to point the finger, 'oh look your wrong', yet are very reluctant to admit their own errors of judgement <_<.

.....then maybe it SHOULD have been a commercial pop record, after all, all our entries that won DID go on to top our charts.... let alone entries from other countries doing so or at least reaching top ten. dana, abba, johnny logan, ann-marie david....
