wow i was scared of being disappointed by it but it's actually a million times better than i pictured!

This video brings to the very forefront what GaGa represents and whether (imo) she truly does. To me it's a shining example of a video that wants to mean something but really doesn't. It's built on a bed of clichés: the silent interludes, the French speaking, the pushing from the balcony. What does it all mean exactly? What statement is she trying to create with it? It's as subtle as a breezeblock. Also Mr. Ackerland uses essentially rehashes much of his work he did on P!nk's video for 'Sober', just lacking the authenticity.

 

As much as I think GaGa writes a good tune I don't quite follow all this "art" and "artistry" stuff she seems so keen to push. There's no depth to it, no soul. It's trying to be serious and meaningful for the sake of it rather than to project anything and that shimmies pretty close to fake imo.

I've been watching the video so much today! The video is already helping it on iTunes, it's climbed to #60. :o

I dont really get it, like Jake said it doesn't really mean anything and she seems to be trying a bit too hard to be different with the end project just making it all look a bit dis-jointed.

I can't deny, it's a good effort. But I think it's forced. I can't really explain myself that clearly, at least it's not just a rehash of Just Dance & Poker Face.
