July 19, 201015 yr I saw this today- I thought Id never get in but I did It is simply brilliant, just as good if not better than the other two- theres emotion, comedy and will satisfy both audiences I wont say any more, but a fitting end to a truly great franchise  Edited July 19, 201015 yr by chart wizard
July 19, 201015 yr OH. MY. GOD. Brilliant, simply brilliant. So so good, I just loved everything about it, shot even beyond my expectations. AMAZING.
July 20, 201015 yr It's definatley noticable but all it really does is make them stand out over the background and stuff. It's nice but it's not exactly necessary.
July 20, 201015 yr It's definatley noticable but all it really does is make them stand out over the background and stuff. It's nice but it's not exactly necessary. Oh ok, I think I'll see it in 2D, like the good 'ol days, definatley seeing it tomorrow. I'm currently watching Toy Story 1 and gonna watch 2 shortly. I'm still upset that Bo Peep isn't in it (I'm so gay!) Also, does anyone know if McDonalds will do the Toy Story toys again like in the 90's? haha I found all my ones look - http://twitpic.com/26yztf I'm so sad!
July 20, 201015 yr Author mcdonalds arent doing those toys, i remember them though, in fact i remember getting mcdonalds before seeing toy story 2!!! and Bo Peep gets a reference!
July 20, 201015 yr Quick question (though I am certainly gonna see it anyway whatever the answer, due to excellent reviews) - do you need to have seen the first two movies in order to make sense of this one? Because I haven't seen the first two, although I really should... Also, how funny is it? Like, have all the best funny bits already been in the trailer? 'Cause I saw "Shrek Forever After" the other day, and I found it totally not funny :(
July 20, 201015 yr Yeah, really you should see the first two to know the characters and for it to really be a good ending. And also it is quite funny, it's typical Disney with humour that goes straight over kids heads but is actually quite funny. Shrek is just a bit $h!t ^_^
July 20, 201015 yr Yeah, the first one is incredible, I was just referring to the fourth being a bit $h!t.
July 20, 201015 yr Author how can you not have seen Toy Story :o i feel sorry for your deprived childhood.
July 20, 201015 yr Shrek Forever After was f***ing awful, as was the third film. Was never huge on Shrek or that many dreamwork films in general though tbh. Going to see this at some point, probably next week now though.
July 20, 201015 yr Pixar easily out do Dreamworks. 'Shrek' especially is overrated. The more I watch the first one, the more I hate it and that's the best one... Pixar films never get old. Hopefully going to see this on Friday :D CANNOT WAIT! I'm mega excited for it!
July 20, 201015 yr Yeah, Pixar is always AMAZING (bar 'Cars'). Dreamworks is generally a bit crap apart from the first Shrek which was pretty original at the time.
July 20, 201015 yr Author tbh Pixar are better than most studios, not just animation ones. and tbh the animation of this film was just out of this world, just the detail and movements were amazing, even comparing to the first 2 movies when they revolutionised animation.
July 21, 201015 yr It was bloody amazing, deffo in my top 3 this year, and equally as good as the first two, deffo worth the 11 years wait (although the short film beforehand was dire) I feel like I'm 6 again awww  10/10
